Welcome back your dreams or your ticket.

I welcome back that same old place, well then since you hung up but those dreams have remained, and they Hey, welcome back.

All right.

Another break session.

Hopefully you are productive in that last work session.

All right, so let us actually Twitter, the Twitter Android app has been acting weird, so I was trying to post the last radio show.

I was able to get it pretty much on Instagram.

I got like one more account but the Twitter for some reason, we're just all sorts of issues.

So we will see.

Let us go here.

So for this brick session, I wanted to kind of talk about a project.

I just released last week so side project thing I was working on and let me share my screen.

So I will start talking about why I created it again?

I don't know what update happened, but like Chrome keeps going to the Chrome tab when I share screens, when I want to share the entire screen before it would keep.

Keep the last thing that I selected, but it's not doing that now and it's kind of pain, okay?

Oh, and it looks like my internet is going in and out.

That is great.

Okay, so let us try get this rolling.

So this is the site.

What's that in wh 80s?

Thhat .i n, right.

And so let me Refresh it so easy does it like every fresh is that quick?

It's kind of cool.

Let us Go ahead and do like a.

What does a lighthouse score?

See if it still gets the highest score?

I will talk about how I created it.

I know I selected Lighthouse.

What is going on with my computer?

Okay, weird.

Okay, you see me selecting Lighthouse, right?

Yeah, I selected Lighthouse security and went there.

Lighthouse.

Every one of those days, okay?

So here we go.

Let us analyze it.

The fan on my computer is going super fast.

I think my internet is messing up.

So Okay, I know I clicked it.

I don't know what's happening.

What?

Well, not a good day to do a demo.

Of course.

All right, so it's going through the motions, bam.

All right.

Nice 100 across the board which is pretty cool, right?

I don't know what is up with my Thing.

Here is going super slow, weird.

Huh, it will be interesting to see how the actual the Highlight Clips turnout in the archive video because I think I am still broadcasting all right but the playback is kind of janky.

Yeah, I think it's my internet.

I don't know.

It's weird.

But here we go.

So 100 calls the board, which is pretty cool.

And you can see here, I made a pwa which I will talk about that soon.

But so you can see this animation here all HTML CSS.

No JavaScript whatsoever.

And so that was an interesting learning on making that work, that's pretty cool.

Learned a lot about like CSS animations and stuff.

So that was cool while that I have this open.

I want to show, I think so.

I am going to turn off JavaScript, right?

Disable JavaScript.

We refresh the page.

And so, you may notice that some options went away, and that's because those things need a JavaScript.

So, if you don't have JavaScript enabled, there's no need to show it, right?

Well, let us take a look at, let us say we click it.

You see have all the different countries, and their currency, right?

So since it's the World Cup, let us go with Arjun Tina.

Who use the peso, and then they're playing France, right?

So France, which uses the euro.

Alright, cool.

So the amount, let us go with a 777, that's a good number.

Now, when you hit convert with JavaScript disabled, it still works, right?

Which is kind of amazing and super cool.

So let me turn back on JavaScript.

Let me show you some of the other things.

Enable JavaScript.

All right, now when I refresh the page, I think take a notice of the menu section appear.

So you notice now history and settings come up and also the history button shows up.

So the site itself, I should want to recite, so I have it to where it will show the currencies and the exchange like the amounts over the flag.

So that way there's no egg, no confusion on which is which I am just looking at this thing and my internet is all jacked up, I have no clue what's happening.

We will just make it work.

I don't know.

Okay so now you can also save to history so let me do that.

So I saved it cools.

We have direct links here, right?

And so, you know if you ever want to redo this count, you can just use actual links.

Now, this one it for some reason, Windows machines, don't show like flag emojis, which is weird.

I am not sure why.

But what's cool also is, is that if you were to so in the copy, this link address and let me open up Twitter, All right, so you're talking about World Cup stuff here?

All right, so now if I would just testing this out, And I paste that link, right?

And I so you can see it pops up with a shared social, share image, that's generated from it.

And that's all done, automatically.

So, if I tweet this, As you can see, bam.

And then even has like in the description.

So 777 aren't didn't ihnen Argentine peso.

What's that in euros?

And so, that's just why it's called what's that in?

And yeah so the way I created this logo, this image here, social image as using cloud in Airy.

And so quaternary has this thing to where you can actually deliver Media files.

So I have that link here, I will add this to the actual site.

So going through here I was able to kind of figure out a solution right now is getting it working.

And, so I reached out to Let me see Colby.

Who works at?

At cloud and Airy, and I was like hey this is pretty cool.

I found out how to do this thing as kind of told them about like yeah this is pretty cool, but I was wondering if there was a way to do a certain thing like it worked but I wanted to do something that wasn't sure it was able to do but shouts of Colby worked with me and was able to get it to work the way I wanted to.

So that was super cool.

So Shasta Colby's want to shout them out.

Let me put them there URL.

Also, Here so you can check it out as well.

Next to the recorded video.

Alright so yeah, so I use cloud and Airy to be able to What is this?

I don't know.

Okay, it's fine.

So yeah, so they able to generate the social image the share image through cloud and Airy, right?

And so when you click it, It takes you back to the page, all right, and so now you can do another one if you want, right?

And they're just converted again and all these other ones.

So now I thing that I found is that so you can do it by the currency, right?

The three-letter currency you can do it by the flag and you can also do it by the symbol.

And with the thing with the symbol is that since the Argentine peso uses the dollar sign and France uses the euro, Whoa, like if you were to click this, see it takes you to the United States dollar and the Euro, which is the Euro or whatever, right?

But still it's because of the symbols, it's kind of hard to know which one it actually is.

So that's why I go mostly with like the flag or if it's a unique three-letter, but it was pretty cool.

Like if the symbol is unique, it will allow work as well.

But since it's, you know, use multiple places, it's kind of difficult.

So yeah, that was that now, so the things up here, we have way too many windows.

Let me just close this one.

Go back to the original one.

Here we go.

So yeah.

So you saw say that the history.

So let us take a look at the history.

And you see it's right here and it gives me the date and I can click this for more information.

Now, the whole reason I totally forgot to talk about why I even created all this.

So the whole reason why I even did all this was because I go as a developer Advocate, I got the chance to go to a bunch of different countries, right?

And so what I am buying things, I am like, wait, I have to think, well, how much is that in American money to make sure I don't like overspend or would have, you know, I mean like if I am tipping something or whatever Or buying something, I am like wait is this work to?

I always have to kind of go look it up, all right.

But now with this I am able to just pull up the website or the app and just calculate it and get it done.

Let me also show you so we can do is under settings.

So this is so I can save the history.

I can get a lit, kind of like a quick list of all the things I spent.

All right, and so under Things.

So, let us say, if I am going back to Japan, right?

I know I am gonna be there for a while.

I can save the form The currency that will, I am going to be too like my native one, so United States.

America right here, the US dollar.

I can save that.

Right.

And so now what I go back to home.

It's saved.

They're forming.

So all I have to do now is just type in the amount, 1 2, 3 4.

So there's like 1234 yen.

Bam.

I know it's like nine dollars and three cents because before when I would see that number, I am like wait, wait how much is that in us?

And I had to like, do these calculations about least now I don't have to was cool.

Also, is that I made a progressive web app so everything like the framework I use is Astro big fan of Astro and so, I am pretty much build everything in Astro.

They have this one cool thing, will it, let me search from here, but in the docks I was able to, there's a thing called is in line.

And so with that, I was able to put in like little bits of JavaScript where I wanted it, and so I was able to control it even more because normally I would use like felt for some of the interactive Parts, but this was such kind of Not really complex.

That was like I had a really nice smell.

I can just use regular JavaScript for it, and I was able to create all this was just all astral components which is pretty cool.

Then I got all hosted because there's an astro integration for Dino deploy.

So it's able to deploy to Dino and with that do they take it?

And I am sure it's like other ones as well, but they deploy in different.

Oh yeah.

Located in 34 regions worldwide.

So my app is in Other places.

So if I am in like Japan, my app will call the closest server.

So it's a lot quicker, right?

And, so I wanted to try that out so that was pretty enjoyable just it wasn't much to deployed to do, you know, it was pretty cool and like the interface I like the interface also so that was cool.

Let us see.

Like I said, oh also, I don't even notice this here, but I can actually install it onto weapons by install it.

Let me see.

I installed it on my phone and on my Chromebook.

But let me see.

I think, I never tried.

Installing it on a Windows computer, so let me install it.

Oh wow, that's pretty cool.

So it just went from there.

And only if I have to pull it over here now, So now it's like in its own app, like its own window in everything.

Now if I know you can't see the but in my taskbar, There's a little icon.

The logo I created.

Okay, nice.

Yeah.

All right, cool.

Very nice wasn't so many things.

I can always get to it if I want.

That's cool.

All right.

So, okay, so we saw settings the about, so this is like a thing that I have all my sites.

It kind of shows all the things that used to create it.

So that's that just up some This is a weird aspect ratio but yeah.

So here we go.

So if you want, check out what I built it with you, can I have this whole section here, exchange rate, dot host.

That's where the API call to get the able to get the conversion rate flag.

Pedia is where all the difference like is the CDN for all the different flag Graphics that I am using use pwa Builder again, to make it a pwa.

The See here, working, rest countries.

So that is where I got all the different information for the country.

So like they provide like the three simple, the three-letter URLs.

And now, URLs, three letters for the currencies, they also gave me like blinks to flag pedia for the different countries, so that was cool and a bunch of different information.

Nation about different countries which is really cool.

And then local storage is how I am storing all like the settings in the history because I don't want your data so all that stuff stays there.

And Yeah, that's everything.

There you can find out more information about stuff and yes, that's that cool stuff there.

Nice.

Yes, I thought so yeah.

So again, use PDA pwa Builder to make it.

So I was cool with the clouded nari.

If you take a look at it, I was able to pull the images, the flags from the URL.

So I know which one they are.

So I was able to pull the flags from the different countries, join them together and then put the what that's what's that in.

Logo in the middle.

And so it, that does it for each URL.

That's generated which I thought again was pretty cool.

Like all through just like a, you are, they call the transformation URL and I just put it in one URL and it just shows up, it's kind of amazing.

So, again, shots of Colby and Cloud.

Mary, that was super cool.

Again, here's the rest countries site, gives you all the different information, their flag pedia again for all the Current images of flags.

Here's the exchange rate, dot host.

Now my app is not to be used for like the latest currency exchange.

I think they do it like once a day.

So to kind of like slow down on all the actual like calls and things so it's like once a day and yeah that's enough for me for my project.

There's other ones out there that do it more frequently like the updates occur in exchange.

But for me Once a day is cool.

And then here again local store.

It's all that stuff.

You can find in the about section of the site.

And yeah.

So then there it is.

Again, you click it and then there you go and you can create another one if you want.

And yeah, I am kind of happy with it.

Like I did it when I was off.

Why did a lot of it kind of like during these break sessions and stuff?

Their work sessions and also just kind of finished it up during the week.

When I was off and yeah, oh and then there's also the shop.

So if you're looking for any you know fresh clothing or anything like that is, you know I got you.

And so yeah.

So this is a good project I am looking because I travel a lot this year, and I am looking to do more again hopefully and yeah.

So I am just looking to Do more of it.

And yeah, that's it.

And then add more to this other side.

I created and, Like my like little travel site thing here I made.

So looking to be able to do more traveling and adding to this site.

I mean, so yeah.

Yeah, that's it.

Okay.

So that's enough of me talking about random stuff.

Alright again thanks for hanging out, so I am gonna send you all back to work and see how the latest one if you check it out.

Let me know what you think and yeah that's going to be its let me stop this screen share.

Get y'all back to work.

Thanks again for hanging out, of course, my while I am demoing this.

Of course, I am going to have issues with the stream and everything.

So I will take a look.

Maybe I will do it again or what have you but at probably not, it's fine.

All right, so here we go.

I am just happy that I got a completed yummy and so good.

Now I am going to be working.

Some other things is been cool.

So, yeah, so I got a bunch of stuff I want to work on and it felt good to be able to get that completed because it was a thing that was always like, I have been nice to have.

It's an odd guy done.

All right?

So send you all back to work because I want to finish up this radio show stuff.

Hopefully, the Twitter Android app is working fine.

And again, thank you for hanging out and send you a lot.

With Anthony Cruz.

AKA butter.

The track is called.

Thank you.

Thanks again for hanging out and see you on the next one.

All right, I wish you much productivity.

Thanks again for hanging out the back for the final break session.

We will take a look at an artist website, maybe listen to music while some videos and maybe they become a fan.

Alright, so again thanks for coming out and see you soon bz piece.
