Dreams or your ticket?

I welcome back that same old place that you like.

Well then since you hung around but those dreams have remained, and they have turned around.

Always good spot.

Here are, welcome back and a smile way, I think and I know what to see you again.

Learn to me was this song.

It made?

Come back and but you never lead you.

All righty.

What's going on?

Welcome to until it dot works like an online study.

Oh, that's good.

And online study group for getting stuff done.

And how you do?

I am going and ready to get stuff working.

All right, cool.

Let us just get into it.

Got a lot of stuff.

I want to get done.

And so, how's everyone doing?

Hopefully you are doing well and ready to get some stuff done to get your weeks.

I did actually I was a summer developer advocate for bondage, and I got to do a workshop for a hackathon in India, which is cool.

And yeah, like so it was an online hackathon.

And so, I did my workshop and when I do workshops like to get, like, have people leave with, like, working applications and kind of understanding, what went into.

To the applications.

So there're two applications.

We kind of like built out and it worked which was amazing and like that's always good when it works on the first try like just works and yeah, and so I kind of explain all the different parts so that when it came time to use it, if they wanted to in their hackathon projects, they would kind of like understand do.

If I need this to do this.

I need this part here whenever they have like reference code to go back and look at application.

So everybody leaves like Applications, and they can use and yeah, and I was kind of worried because it didn't get a lot of like questions and things in like the form but I think it's wrapping up now, and we had some people to actually build some projects.

They I guess it just worked for them.

They said it just worked and it was like easy to put together or whatever, and they put some stuff in the project and I got to see you some like demo videos and Pretty impressive, especially for like, I think they had like two, three days to build everything, pretty cool stuff, kind of amazing.

So yeah, I think they are probably if they put it on like YouTube or whatever, or they tweet it out.

I will like retweet it on my Twitter handle, so lifelong deaf.

All right, but you're not here for that here for to get stuff done.

And so let me go through an orientation to kind of help you figure out the lay of the land, you know, I mean and so what you can And can't do with the site to help you get stuff done.

Now, there's two.

Okay.

So there're two ciphers, right?

Each Cipher is a three-hour block time block and each block of time.

A cipher has two sessions.

There is the work session where you are focused on whatever it is that you're working on to get done.

And there's a break session, which is this 45 minutes for the work session.

15 minutes for the break session break sessions where you kind of like after like put all your mental energy into something, to get it working.

It's kind of like a break.

We can kind of just like let your mind kind of like be free walk around, you know learn about something new or something that I am going to talk about, you know, just or if you want to come on you can talk about whatever you find interesting.

And so there's stuff like that.

All right, so If you look above, there's the home, shop, subscribe, and if you're logged in login, if you're not logged in, if you are log in log out, whatever the Subscribe has all the upcoming ciphers.

And so you're able to subscribe to an upcoming Cipher and get notified on the device you subscribed with that when we go live.

There's that all right, now below that you will see the video player.

With my face on it, and we're just talk about whatever.

Again if you want to come on and have your face on the video.

Just I will show you how to do that.

That's in the work session.

Yeah, cool below.

That now, I am doing speech to text recognition right now through the web speech, recognition API.

That's built into the Chrome browser.

And if you So choose you can click open closed caption and it will open up like a little box and hopefully my speech is accurately turned into text.

So I try to speak slowly and like deliberately hopefully next to that you will see that you may need to click Start the play button to start the stream because if you hop in on one of these breaks sessions and you didn't interact with the site and just Went directly to the page.

It will show the videos Frozen because browsers don't allow autoplay videos with audio.

So I am thinking I may switch it to is just it's muted and so that the video will be playing and then maybe have something say, click to unmute.

I don't know the next version below that.

Now, there's anything that you found interesting in these break sessions.

I would wear, you can create, like a highlight video of the break session.

And so if you anythi found cool.

That you want to clip out you just hit add a clip and now take like 5 seconds.

I think I have it wears like to second.

No think it's three seconds before like when you click it because maybe you like took time for males to S time to kind of like, oh that was cool.

So kind of goes before and then however, many seconds afterwards.

There's a five-second clip total and you get five of those and then whenever you're done, you click create a highlight video.

And that will, when I hit stop broadcast will send The timestamps and your username to a back end.

And I will generate like a custom highlight video that has like, your username in the intro.

And yeah, and then I will show you where you can see it when it's all completed and then you can download it and tweet it, do what you got to do.

Cool.

Then we also have the countdown timer and that's counting down to win.

The next work session begins.

So if you don't even want to look at me, you have me muted.

And you can just see the time to countdown timer.

And kind of know like, all right, about to go back to work kind of thing.

All right, and then again if you want to, you can join the room, we had a chat room and a spot where you can ask questions and so interact, that way cool.

Now, that is the break session when we're not in break session.

We're in the what that's right.

Work session, and let me share my screen.

Not gonna need an audio for this.

So let me show you around the work session.

All right.

So now your background may be different because they're just randomly selected environmental pictures, which I found were kind of like calming.

So I was like, you know, helps you focus, your want to have anything wild back there that you just always like looking at like some anime or something, you know, I mean, all right, cool.

So, again, O'Brien Corner the same menu.

So again, the Subscribe if you want to subscribe to upcoming ciphers over on the other side of the screen, we have the band camp player where I get to I know a lot of like talented artists, and so I asked a few of them if they want to submit some music some instrumentals for like random projects that create like this one.

And so what happens is its just a random selection like a continuous playlist of just instrumental.

So if you want to listen to music while you're working on what It is that you're working on there's that since it's a bank, a you can actually purchase the song.

If you like it, you can share it.

And then if you really want to, you know, help spread the word, you can click tweet and now open up Twitter and a new browser and with a pre-populated tweet and you can just send it off with the artist information, you know, help support.

All right, spread the word.

I am a big fan of, like, spreading the word of things you like.

Alright, then towards the center, we have the to do section.

This is where you list all Task.

So you purse, add a task, type it in there, hit enter, or the plus sign will add it to the to do is list.

Now, you can edit the task by clicking on the actual text of the tasks.

You can delete the task and then you can also check them off.

So when you get a completed when you get completed, it goes to do.

And then so you just click done to see a list of the tasks of get you completed.

Now, when everything's all said and done, you can click the Twitter icon here next to the add a task.

And it We will open up Twitter and a new browser with a pre-populated tweet with all your tasks that you completed like kind of like listed out and with a check mark next to them.

Just kind of nice.

We kind of wrap a bow on the end of the day, you know, I mean, it's kind of feel good that you got some stuff completed.

All right, then we have another countdown timer to this one counts down to when the next break session is and again, those happen, 15 minutes after the hour, then we have some tutorials.

So let us say you don't have a thing, you want to work on be want to feel productive and, you know, get something done.

And you heard coding is a pretty cool thing to get into because it's being, it's all the rage now.

It's all the kids are doing it.

I guess.

I don't know.

And so I have plus.

I think coding is cool and it's changed my life.

Yeah, I mean so there're two programs that I heard a really good free, code camp dot-org and the Odin.

Project and by going through those I think you get like a good idea of what's involved in web development and you kind of make a decision like an informed decision, you know, just guessing like you went through it.

You got a good idea whether or not you want to spend more time and more money in pursuing web development.

Yeah.

And then also, like I said, I am a JavaScript developer Advocate at bondage another part of my job besides like workshops or tutorials.

And, so I have three tutorials there and Kind of just, you know if you do them, let me know what you think.

I think they're pretty cool.

One of them is being able to that, you create an application where you dial a phone number in the application, you hit call and then it will ring the phone that the phone number is connected to in the real world and you can you have a conversation back and forth It's kind of amazing.

There's also the opposite going down a virtual number in a real-world phone and then having a ring in your application.

And that you can pick up any be able to have a conversation again, then there's also one where two, users log into a web application and one calls the other.

And then you can have like a conversation through the browser, which I actually use in this, this site here until it not works.

That's when do I wait.

Oh, yes, for the hawk goes.

That's how you communicate if you want to use the things which Speaking of hot?

Coals tacos are help a coder / creator.

So if you're working on a project and you get stuck and or you want to get feedback, you can create a Jaco, which gives you a unique URL that you can pass out to people on social media, Twitter, whatever saying, hey, I need help with something, or I need feedback and you kind of say like what it is that you're looking help for or feedback on and you put that out there and if people can help, they will hopefully join the room.

And So what it is, it's your own private room, where you can, the people just don't join the room.

They request to join the room and you be able to see who's requesting and you can click on their name, their username to open up, either Twitter or GitHub, whatever they used to log in, to see if they're the person that you, if they're a person that you want in your room.

If you think feel that they will be helpful.

So that you have that sort of barrier, you know, you just want anybody run randomly running into your room and could be all sorts of She's so you get control of that.

You also as the owner you can share your screen.

No one else can share their screen.

Only you as the owner, can share your screen so you can show what it is that you want feedback and or help on cool.

And then also like I mentioned there's I have all sorts of different ways.

You can communicate.

So there's like a chat room, like a text chat.

You can enable your audio so you can have an audio chat.

You can also do speech to text.

So as you're saying, so if you want to type you can have it say it and it will end the text chat, show what you said hopefully closely again, speech, recognition API and then the other way around.

Like if you're not looking at the screen where you want to be able to hear what's happening, you be able to do text to speech where when text comes up it will actually say it.

And so you don't have to be like looking at the screen to keep up or what have you.

So yeah, so I wanted to make it to where hopefully you can be as productive as possible.

Isabel and communicate in the ways that you want and so that you can get the feedback and or help that you're the solution that you're looking for.

Cool.

All right, so then show-and-tell sign up.

Let us say that you wanted to come on and come up with me to the stage and be able to talk about something.

I found interesting.

You know, it's just like a lightning talk, five ten minutes and you just talk about what it was that you found interesting.

That's all.

I am a big fan of lightning talks and being able to kind of just showcase what you think is cool.

And if you're running into any issues and maybe somebody else can I have some experience or maybe, you know?

Learn it also and you can come together and figure something out.

So that's that then remembers all those clips and the highlight video that you created and had it sent off.

Well when it's submitted initially, you will say status submitted and then as is doing stuff in the back end and getting everything ready.

Once that video is ready to be viewed.

It will look like that or says status done, and then they will have the view button.

Be able to click the view button and then it will open up like a little window and you'd be able to preview the video you can.

Download the video and then you will get the quick and tweet the video.

Now, what it's what you're tweeting is a link to the archive of the video, right?

To the whole thing.

And you're the preview for the Twitter, embed card will be your video.

Now.

Sometimes it shows it.

Sometimes it doesn't.

I think it depends on like maybe screen size and maybe if you're on a mobile or not, I am not sure, but what I have been doing is I have been downloading the video because I also uploaded to Instagram.

And then attach it to the Tweet.

So that we always know the video is going to be shown along with the link.

And yeah, so that's that.

That is everything cool.

Now I am gonna get you all back to work because like I said, there're things I want to get done.

As well.

I am trying to be productive this morning.

And yeah, so let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

And yeah.

Thanks again for hanging out.

Let me set this timer.

So again, 15 It's after the hour is when the next break session will happen.

And if we don't have anyone that wants to do an insurer, until I figured, we could do it like our own little show-and-tell.

Like, Dusty domains was the thing that we spoke about before I figured, if no one wants to talk about I think we can see what projects were submitted for that charity event and take a look.

Alright.

So again, thank you all for hanging out.

So hopefully you stick around, get some stuff done.

And yeah.

Thanks again for hanging out, so I can send you all off with some traveling music.

This is, I forgot to set the actual our that when cool.

This is new Jabez featuring a Pawnee.

Be the track is called.

Thank you.

Because I want to thank you all again for hanging out and see you soon.

15 minutes after the hour.

All right, share audio.

Here we go.

Thanks.

Y'all.

See you later.
