Welcome back your dreams were your ticket.

I welcome back that same old place that you will the new since you but those dreams have repaid, and they turn around Welcome back to another Cipher of until--, it dots Works.

How are you doing?

Hopefully you are doing well Happy New Year if its first time we're speaking, and yes.

Until it that works for anybody.

That's new is a thing.

I created mostly for myself because I have a lot of things that I want to get done, right.

And I am the type of person that if I don't set time aside, I won't find time to work on things.

And, so I created a site as a way of like well I am going to be here.

I am going to do these like live streams or what have you might as well work on the thing since I am up.

Up and working on a computer, right?

So I might as well do stuff and that's how it kind of came about.

And so it's until-- until it dot works, is you work on your thing until it works and that's that.

So they're made up of ciphers and a cipher is a three-hour block of time and within each Cipher, there are two types of sessions.

There's a work session and a break session work sessions like 45 minutes of just heads.

I am working on what you're working on and trying to make it happen, right?

Then there're the brakes that's--and break session, which is what we're in right now, and they're 15 minutes around 15 minutes, and they happen 15 minutes after the hour.

Cool.

So you can see, you know, it's a break session because I pop up here and the video.

So to kind of like hey go take a break, get up walk around stretch or what have you or if you want to sit here in this watch me talk about something.

Random on the Internet or maybe if you want to come up here and talk about something random that you found on the internet.

You can do that as well.

And so, yeah.

So there's the video, then if you ever hop into the site and it's in the middle of a break session, the video may look like it's frozen because browsers don't allow.

For autoplay video with audio so that's why I load.

Notice they're saying that you may need to click play to start the street.

All right?

Next to that is open closed caption.

I am using the speech recognition API that's built into the Chrome browser to turn my speech into text and hopefully it shows up accurately in the blood in the space that opens up.

If you click that button, Below that you will see that there's two more buttons, there's the add a clip and create a highlights video.

So if there's ever anything during these break sessions like oh that was kind of interesting that was cool you can clip it out.

So what happens is we go back a couple of seconds and it will Mark that timestamp, right?

You get five of those and each time each clip is 5 seconds.

So if you can hit that create a highlights video before I stop the stream will do is you will save those timestamps and it will kick off a process where it will take the recording of the break session and cut out the timestamps put them together, Put It intro put it out row and you will be able to view it downloads it and share it to social media.

I will show you where that you can get that later.

Alright then there's a countdown timer countdown doing the work session happens.

And then if you want to join the chat room and chat, you can all right.

Now, let me show you what the works.

Option is like and share my screen here.

Now mind you that the work session.

May look different and that's because The in the nature image that's in the background is randomly selected.

So that may be different, we have the home shop, subscribe, and log out for the menu there.

Subscribe has all the upcoming ciphers, so if you subscribe to them, you can get notified when we go live on the other side, I have an audio player if you want to listen to some music while you work on what you're working on.

I have that for you there.

I know a lot of really dope like producers and make really great music, so I asked some of them, okay.

You want to submit some music for random project?

I create you're like sure.

So I am a big fan of band camp, and they're on bandcamp.

So I had them submit their bandcamp tracks and I created like an ongoing playing playlist of their tracks and so since it being a band camp where you can purchase the track, you can share the back and you can also tweet to spread the word about some really dope artist.

All right, then we have the to do section.

This is where you type where you're all your things you want to get done, go click.

You type in a task, put your tasks in their hit enter or the plus sign.

And that will then add it to this list here, right?

You can click the text to edit it.

You can click X to delete it or you can mark the checkbox.

Yes.

And now put it under done and you can click done to see a List of all the things that you got completed.

Now, once everything is finished and before I should have reading down, if you hit that Twitter icon will open up Twitter and I will list all the things you got completed with like little nice little green check marks next to him.

So you know, it's a good way of kind of like finishing off a day.

My God, Phil good.

Got some stuff done.

I am ready for the week kind of stuff.

Let me have another countdown timer countdown to next break session happens.

Again, those are 15 minutes after the hour view tutorials.

So let us say you don't have a thing that you want to work on but you want to work on something right?

And you heard hey this coding thing seems like it's a cool thing.

So I have links to free code camp and the Odin project.

And from what I have seen if when I have been told by people with taking them at the end of it, you will have like a good understanding of what it takes to do web development, right?

And from there you can decide whether or not you want to spend more time and or money in pursuing web development?

So you get like a good idea for free little bit of time.

I also have now if you're into coding you want to get like a quick project done.

That's kind of cool.

I have three tutorials there, and I am a JavaScript developer Advocate at, I am a JavaScript developer Advocate at Vantage and with that comes like kind of like, curating and making sure tutorials are cool.

Now we have, right?

So I have three of them there and one of them is you current application where you put in your phone number into it.

You can hit call and it will dial your real-world phone.

You can have a conversation back and forth.

That's cool.

Then I have the opposite where the application you create, you get a virtual number from your real world phone.

You call that virtual number and you can pick it up in your application and have a conversation.

Then there's one where two users in the application that you create they log in and one can call the other through the browser and you can just have a conversation.

I think it's cool stuff.

All right, so that's there, Jaco come back to real quickly.

I got more slides on that show until sign up.

Like I said, if you want to come up here and talk about something you found interesting, please feel free to do.

So the form on how to sign up is right there, show-and-tell sign up then that video that you sent off to be created of the clip.

Well, was being worked on the status will say submitted, and then once it's ready to be viewed, it was a status done.

And then the view button will show up, you click view will show you a preview of the video.

You can download it and you can click a link to share it to Twitter right now.

Sometimes Twitter doesn't show the promo like the video, I guess.

It depends on like the sides, the browser, I don't know whatever.

So what I have been doing since I share it also to Instagram Am I take that downloaded video and I just attach it to the tweet, and then we're good to go.

All right now Jaco Taco stands for help a coder / Creator out, right.

That is a thing that created for people who get stuck or want feedback on something you create a Jaco or room, which is your own, and you can invite people into your room and you can have like discussions and hopefully you will get what you need from it, right?

So if you click view, you see all the different tacos that are created right now.

If you're to click create your get presented with the form.

You enter a title three keywords kind of help describe what you're looking for and then click create that will then generate a unique URL that you can copy and are you can share to Twitter now.

So when you join your hot cocoa.

This is what it looks like.

You have the title, you can leave the hakko, you can open a menu.

We have the chat over here.

Here on the other side, we have a countdown timer countdown to next break session happens.

You can copy the URL, you can click the share on Twitter again.

Now, when someone clicks your link, they just don't hop into your room, right?

We just don't want to just mad, you know, Madness happening and Chaos.

So what happens is they actually request a jury room, and they will show up under pending then you can click their username and it will either open up Twitter or GitHub depending on what they logged in with and you can approve or deny them based on what you see in their profile.

Now Let us say you do approve them, may turn out to be a terrible person.

Well, you can always band them.

All right.

Now you as the owner of the hakko, only you can share your screen and I did that because you're the person who's trying to get help.

And I think that, if everyone can see what you're seeing, then you will be able to get the help or the feedback that you're looking for, all right?

And so that's why I have it that way then you can as well.

So you way you communicate, one of the ways is through text chat, you type in your message here, hit send it shows Up in the message list.

Now, I also have it to where you can enable audio chat, so anybody who has an audio chat enabled?

Be able to speak and hear each other but don't worry about the folks who don't have it enabled because if it's still working, the text that you're saying, should be your speech should be turning the text and put into the text chat so that people who don't have it enabled can still follow along.

That I have the opposite where you can enable text to speech, where you take this stuff that's happening, in the text chat, and your computer will read it out.

All right, that's that cool.

Then, you can go back and check all the other hackers that have been created.

If you know, you can click the Creator's name and open up their Twitter or GitHub again, depending on what they logged in with and decide whether or not you want to like check out that person Taco at any time then or in the future.

And yeah, that's pretty much it.

Cool.

Let me stop the screen share, and we will get you all back to work because I got some stuff I am working on and Yeah, so hopefully you're getting your ready to get some stuff done.

Hopefully this is helpful and I know is hope for me because I have been doing a bunch of stuff when we come back.

If no one signs up for the show-and-tell, we will talk about a thing that I came across recently and my God, it's pretty cool.

So yeah, it has to do with web components, of course and so yeah.

Thanks again for hanging out.

I am gonna send you all back with this, some traveling music.

This is Anthony Cruz.

AKA a butter.

The track is called.

Thank you.

Because the thanks again for hanging out.

I will see you 15 minutes after the hour and until then, I wish you much productivity.

I think my laundry might be done, so I got to go and check on that and, yeah, good times.

Good times.

Thanks again for hanging out.

I will see you later.

And yeah.

Anthony Cruz.

AKA butter.

Thank you.
