Speaker will put a link to this on Twitter for people interested in learning more about it. Speaker's internet went out. Adrian roselli said on Twitter that there are fake I assert Styles which visually hide content when applied to S after and X Cohen before heís. Speaker explains to Speaker how to hide the content of the S element and add visible text before and after it.

Speaker is disappointed that there is no demonstration of the code they are going to show.

The code that they show doesn't do what it says is doing, because it's hiding the content of the S elements. Speaker is sceptical about the accessibility of the tool. They don't trust AI and coding unless it points to the resources where it pulled information from. Speaker hasn't signed up for the MD n Plus account yet. They will check it out another time. Speaker will see them 15 minutes after the hour.

Speaker has finished all the posts radio show promo stuff. They are feeling good about that. Speaker wants to talk about a new interactive that they spoke about last week. They have a new tool called A I help. It's designed to help web developers improve their search processes. Speaker is excited about a new feature that allows people to ask questions and it should spit out their stuff.

Speaker wants to include a smelt component in their Astro project. They need to use felt with astral and then resources. Speaker doesn't have access to MD n plus yet, so they don't know if it's similar to the Astro dot build, Houston, AI thing. They want to help connect people to the expansive mdn database.

Speaker explains how to create a format HTML. They offer set examples and interactive code snippets to help people grasp complex concepts. They also show links to the articles that were consulted for answers.

Speaker is going to see Anthony Cruz later.

Welcome back your dreams were your ticket.

I welcome back to that same old place but those dreams everything, and they have turned around What's going on y'all?

All right.

Do another stretch?

Yeah, it's tough.

Oh yeah, okay.

Alright, hope you're doing well.

I finish all the posts radio show promo stuff, so I am feeling good about that.

That's great.

It's looking a little bit into some codes stuff, but I didn't really get a chance but all the clothes radio show stuff done.

So I am feeling good about that.

Let me see here.

The Least put these in order real quick.

All right, so Want to talk about this thing because I spoke about it last week and there's a new thing to it and I want to talk about it.

And the thing I am talking about, well, let me get Copy the link so that it will be next to recording check out later.

Share my screen.

And this kind of goes along with my whole thoughts on the total subject, so Last week, we spoke about ND ends plaything, like their new interactive.

Like you can check out code Snippets, and they like run in the browser.

And so you're typing something.

You can see the output of it, right?

I will let go.

That's pretty cool.

So, it's how about that?

So then think of Monday of this week that just passed, they announced a, I helped your trusted companion for web development so you had a 26.

So just kind of happen.

So Going to kind of read through this real quick.

So hello.

Hello developers.

We're thrilled to announce the latest addition to M DN a--.

I helped developed in collaboration with our partners at Super Bass.

A I help is not just a new tool.

It's your new problem solving companion, my bad.

I didn't totally move this up away.

All right.

It is designed to optimize your search processes.

Making it quick and easy to find the information you need.

Here's how it works.

Simply ask a question on mdn and a I helped you get to work it dies into our comprehensive repository of documentation retrieves.

The most pertinent information and present it to you.

In a succinct summary, the aim to streamline your interaction with our website and get you back to coding faster equipped with the insights.

You are looking for.

We're excited too.

For you to try a.

I help and look forward to your feedback on this new feature.

All right.

Cool.

So let us see.

That's funny.

Their new here is read the my new here is blue interested.

Okay, so here we go.

So this is kind of like what it looks like.

All right, so you can type in your question and it's supposed to get spit out your stuff here.

This is similar.

It reminds me of the one that what was it was on Astro, not build.

I noticed a lot of other like Frameworks and sites are doing this to where we lose it.

We can ask questions and see totally forgot what it was something I gotta.

I know I saw it somewhere before.

We spoke about it here before, where it was.

What's a little character's name?

I don't know, supposed to pop up somewhere around here.

Huh.

Could have sworn.

They had it.

Is it Mike?

Houston Dot?

See, I am going off topic here.

What's it Houston?

Not.

Because where you are able to be kind of asked?

Yeah, there it is.

Yeah, here we go.

Let me put a link to this.

Basically so you'd be able to show Hannah Huston them where the entire Astro docs a few thousand times so you can ask it certain questions, right?

So how do I include a smelt components?

In my Astro project, write the answer the question.

You know says that it's experimental AI assistant trained to answer questions about astral.

All right, and you tell, you all what school, they tell you, the things that you used to do it.

Oh, I don't know.

Sorry.

Oh okay.

Well, can I use felt He's making shorter.

Maybe, maybe they took it down.

I guess where you could have.

Got to it from the front page.

Oh, here we go.

So yes, you can use felt with astral and then resources, and they give you links, which I think is cool.

That's what I like about that.

I like when you can kind of get like, the sources where they got it from.

So this gives you link for you to check out more, right?

So with here, I don't have I don't log into mdn and then I don't have MD n plus I guess yet, I don't know, I am still debating, but They, so I don't I just want I can't show, so I am assuming it's similar to the Astro dot build, Houston, AI thing right, let us do it.

So it's trained on all the data in mdn so that you will be able to ask you a question.

It will pull from that knowledge base and give you an actual answer.

Now the thing is, I don't know if it gives you link to The Source where it got the answer from, right?

Just kind of like how Astro sent give you links to the resources.

I am not sure about that because I haven't tried it for myself, but so it says like ask your question and then results based on mgm's most recent, documentation and powered by open AI G, PT 3 .5, all right.

And so yeah, so they can give you examples they don't really show you, okay?

So they do give you some more stuff here.

So key features, quick access to knowledge.

May I help connects you to the expansive mdn, database offering quick answers to your queries, about apis browser compatibility or coding best practices.

The tool is currently limited to mdn documentation only, which makes sense because that's your asking questions about that, right?

So here's an example.

So how do I create a format HTML?

And so it will give you stuff here.

But I wonder if at the end of this does it.

Give you like a link to go?

Check it out for yourself, resources.

Kind of like how the Astro did.

Not sure can I can't see the bottom of their but then it's just ask your question again.

So it looks like it's like a check kind of thing, right?

And so okay.

No, yeah, you do have.

Links at the bottom here.

So, okay, so learning support more than a Q&A tool.

May I offer set examples and very soon interactive code Snippets to help you grasp complex Concepts.

May I help also displays links in the articles that were consulted for offering answer, so it does.

So yeah.

So to me that's super important displays links to the articles that were consulted for answers.

So they so me that makes sense.

That's a plus, a big plus All right, good.

So they talk about the stuff that they used to create it which is cool so if you want to learn more about that you can and so the so you create a free and the N Plus account to try it out.

All right.

Yeah.

So just create a free MD n Plus account to get started.

All right cool.

And then you get feedback on it and feedback that people give, right.

So saw this on Twitter and it says M, let me put a link to this because the way Twitter is you may be close to your limit and so you may not get a chance Ant actually check this out.

So, here we go.

All right.

Did my internet go out?

I whatever.

All right.

So I added that cool good.

So yeah, so this person Adrian roselli no blue check.

So said on Twitter Mdn fake an I assert Styles which visually hide content when applied to S:: after and X Cohen before heís, the contents of the S instead.

So it's like a strike through, you know, you see the text has like the line through it, right?

So they added the example to the issue.

So like the same way, they're asking for feedback, people are giving feedback.

And so here's the actual thing.

So, so another example from this, that's it.

So I guess they asked her the question, right?

And so you can check out, you know, I will put a link to this directly also All right, so they have an example accessibility concerns which leads too here.

Right.

And accessibility concerns.

And so the presence of the S element is not announced by most screen reading technology.

It is default configuration.

It can be made to be announced by using the CSS content property along with the before-and-after.

Pseudo elements.

So that's what they were saying here, the CSS the before and after pseudo elements, they're saying, so you see here, So this is the code here.

It's saying that the AI wraps up its explanation with this overall, this code creates a strikethrough effect by hiding the content of the S element and adding visible text before and after it.

And so they're saying this, is this demonstration?

This demonstrable e, demonstrable ear.

All there is no demo of that code showing it in action.

All right?

Because yeah because there is no see, there's this, but that's For something else, I guess.

We're going on a developer uses this code and expects the outcome.

The a I said to expect would be disappointed at best.

So the same the code that they show doesn't do what it says is doing, right?

Oh, can sing?

It's hiding the content of the S elements, right?

Which it is not because if you See here.

Like, you can still see.

I guess that's where the same.

You can still see the thing.

Here is not hiding it.

Right.

Yeah.

Chris is strikethrough effect by height.

Yeah.

See you don't hide the content.

You put a strikethrough.

Is that with a?

I guess that's what they're saying.

Yeah.

So that was from the very first page, I hit that had an accessibility note, which means I am weary of the genuine user harming advice this tool will offer on more complex Concepts than simply stricken text.

So yes, we have a bunch of people.

Talk about a lot of stuff here.

And, Yeah, so yeah, you know, using utilizing inaccessible code may have legal ramifications whole bunch of so it's interesting read, you know, saying you got to go through it if you want to check it out but I mean so hopefully.

And so looks like after all that, I think they're there.

Putting it on hold.

I think I saw somewhere.

Here I think it was so.

So due to a controversial discussion of this topic, we're pausing it.

Not huh?

We will look to it, but we will look into it after the weekend.

So I guess they're going to take a look at it.

So yeah.

Just want to put that out there.

I as far as like AI stuff again.

Unless it has, let me stop some machines here.

So my whole deal with AI and coding and stuff like, unless it points to the resources, where it pulled information from that it gave you, I don't really trust it.

And then with the coding stuff also I guess to show that the I think they said they're going to add it so in the air A i thing it will say hey we have an interactive example, so I guess I will show you the code snippet and then show you it works.

I guess.

So we will see.

Again, I don't have a I still haven't signed up for the MD n Plus account, so I will probably check that out another point.

So if you tried it, let me know.

And yeah, I am gonna get you all back to work.

Thanks for hanging out and send you all off with some traveling music and this is a butter now known as Anthony Cruz.

The track is called, thank you.

And I am going to send you all off and here we go.

Certain screen share.

So yeah.

So see you 15 minutes after the hour until then I wish you much productivity and yeah, be careful of the AI stuff.

Just don't trust it you know, lined lie.

Right?

You know trust and verify.

It's really thought they say.

Alright.

So, again, Anthony Cruz, AKA butter.

Thank you.

All right.

See you later.

Be easy piece.
