transcript

Welcome back that same old place the cheek.

Well, the number of all changed since you hung around, but those dreams everything, and they turned around each other.

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Welcome back.

Hey, what's going on?

Welcome back.

All right.

So this is the second cipher of the day.

Welcome, stretch it out.

Hopefully, you are being productive on this.

Beautiful.

Well hopefully, it's beautiful where you're at.

I actually am I working on, adding a feature to a website that I created and I forgot that because I had in my GitHub, I pulled it down, I was like, wait a minute, something doesn't look right.

And I forgot that I made changes to it.

I added another feature before that, that I didn't push to my GitHub repo.

So luckily that laptop that it's on, that Chromebook is still working.

So I was able to push those changes and bring it down.

Now, I am just setting up the information that I am going to show on the front end.

So it's I made sure what it is at some point in the future break session, or what have you, but This is until it dot works.

This is where I like to work on side projects and things and always kind of like learning about new stuff and my building things.

And, so I wanted to have a set time that I put that I block out every week to do something when I am not traveling or what-have-you, right?

And so that's nice.

That's where this came from.

So on my time Sunday Is I do these ciphers and each so to ciphers are weak and so each Cipher consists of three hours, right?

And then within each Cipher, there are two types of sessions.

There is a work session and a break session work.

Sessions are like 45 minutes and break sessions happen, 15 minutes after the hour, and they're about 15 minutes long and so you get like an hour's worth of stuff.

And we do that three times, right?

So that's what the three hours come from.

So right now, we're in a break session and so you can see the video come up here, talk about whatever, you know.

I mean, you can actually come up here and do like a quick lightning talk, whatever that you found, interesting and what you're working on.

Otherwise, just be me ranting randomly talking about something I found cool and probably look at an artist's website and maybe listen to music and watching videos.

So, there's always at least, Is going to happen.

So you see the video with my face on there sometimes if you hop into the site, and we're already on a break session, it?

It looks Frozen the video look like it's frozen and that's because browsers don't allow for autoplay video with audio.

So, you may need to click play, and that's why that notice, is there where it says, may need to click play to start the stream next to that, is the open closed captions.

So, right now, I am using the speech recognition API that's built into Chrome browsers, to turn my speech into text, and that's what will show up.

Hopefully accurately in the space that opens when you click open closed caption below that.

Then we have the add a clip and create a highlight video buttons.

Those, if there's ever a thing during these break sessions and you're like, oh, that seem cool.

You can add a clip, you get 55-second clips, and if you can click create a highlight video before, I hit stop broadcast.

Well, happens.

Is it take those timestamps and the recorded break session and cut out at the time stamps and then put them together and then intro outro.

And then it will show you your highlight video.

So yeah, I will show you can like check it out.

Let us see.

Also, so there's the countdown timer that's coming down to win the next work session happens.

And then there's a button to join the chat if you so choose.

You want to chat ask questions.

What have you?

There's that.

All right, so now let us talk about what happens when we're to work session.

So let us make this a slideshow.

I got a slide show for it.

Start screen, share going to share the audio just in case, don't need it, but just in case.

Alright, so this is the work session, like screen layout.

The background is going to probably be something different, because it's just a randomly selected nature.

Image, scenery thing I pull from an API, so that's going to be different.

But what's not going to be different is our the menu in the top, right?

Where the home shop, subscribe and log, in log out, depending on your status, subscribe list.

The upcoming ciphers and you can actually subscribe to them to get notified when we go live on the other side, we have an audio player, and so I asked some artists that I know to submit some instrumentals, and they did their awesome.

So you want this in some music while you're working on your thing, it's right there for you.

It's a band camp player.

So what you can do is if you want to, you can actually purchase the track.

If you like it, you can share the track and then I added a tweet link.

And so if you want to tweet it out on Twitter to help, you know, support and spread the word about some good artist, you can do that right there in the middle, we have the to do section.

And so your to do is will show up in this space area in the center here, you can add a task right there were in the input box.

It's a task get enter or the plus sign that will add it again to this section here to where you can click the text of the to do to edit it.

You can click X to delete it or you can mark the check box and then now move it to done you won't see all the list.

Things.

You have completed you can hit done and it will show you what your completed.

You can also before we close up shop, you can click the icon.

Twitter icon that open up Twitter and will actually list out all the things you got completed kind of you know, like oh I got stuff done, feeling good.

Alright, then the column to the right, we have the another countdown timer, that's counting down to win the next break session happens.

Again, those have been like 15 minutes after the hour.

Unless of course I get caught up in, whatever it is I am doing and so it may start a little bit later, then we have tutorials view tutorials, so I have links to free code camp and the olden project.

And from what I have seen and what I have been told it seems like they provide enough like information and Like education to where you can make an informed decision on.

If you want spend more time and more money in pursuing web development, and so I have those links there.

So if you would like a complete beginner and you're like hey what's this coding web development thing I believe those are two good free resources to kind of get a good idea of what it takes.

All right.

Then we will talk about the hot coals coming back but then show-and-tell sign up.

Like I was saying before if you want to come up here and talk about whatever that you want to talk about, like 5 10 minute quick lightning talk.

That will tell you how to sign up for that.

And then that video that you created the highlight video under the Highlight box, it will say the status submitted and while it's being worked on and when it's ready to be viewed, you will say status done, and we will have the view button, click the view button, it will pop up saying, Hey, I will have the video there, you can preview it, you can download it and you also click a link to send it to Twitter.

Now, the URL is unique to you, and if Twitter will show the preview video, it will be your video.

Otherwise, I have just been attaching the video to The Tweak because I download it to post an Instagram anyway and I just attach it.

So I know that it will show up.

So there's that All right.

Taco stands for help a coder / Creator out, right?

So if you wanted to view the hot coals, you click View, and I will show you the hot, coals that may have been created, all right?

Then if you click create, think it's great.

You will see this form to where you want to put in the information.

And so like the title and three keywords that will help somebody kind of understand.

What you need help or feedback with kind of thing, so maybe like the language or the framework or whatever it is that you're working on.

You click create and will do is it will give you a URL and then you can copy the URL with the button or you can click the share directly to Twitter.

All right.

Now, will you join your Jaco?

It will look something like this.

You will see you can leave it.

There's opening menu to check some stuff out.

I have a text chat over here.

We will come back to that.

The title of your hot, coal going through the top countdown, timer counting on to win the next break session happens.

Again, 15 minutes of the hour, you can again copy the URL.

You can share on Twitter.

Now when someone joins your room they just don't automatically join like they're requesting to join your room.

So they will show up under pending.

You will be able to click their username.

It will open up Twitter.

Or GitHub depending on whether you use to login with.

So then you can decide whether or not you won't let that person into your room.

So let us say you approve the person they turn out to be a horrible person then you can ban them and kick them out, all right?

Now as the owner of the room, only you can share your screen and that is because it's your room.

And it's the thing that you I feel by being able to share your screen, you can give more context to what it is that you need help with right or need feedback on it.

Somebody else can actually see what?

Going through then I think they will be able to provide the best feedback and or help that you're looking for.

So only you can share your screen.

All right, let us see.

Also, we got the text chat.

It's like a regular text chat, right?

You put in what you want to say, hit send.

I also added audio chat and so that way if you enable that whoever has it enabled would be able to speak and hear each other.

Right.

So when for the people who don't have it enabled, I haven't to wear Same speech API recognition, it will turn your speech into text and then put that into the text chat for anybody that wants to follow along, but doesn't have the audio enabled and then I kind of like the opposite.

So if you're not looking at the screen, we still kind of want to follow along with what's happening.

It will, if you enable text to speech, anything that comes up into the text chat, the computer, the browser will read it out so you can hear it.

And What's going on?

So yeah, so that's that.

A lot of stuff.

I think it's cool on there, you know?

Give it a shot.

Let me know what you think?

Yeah, I think that's it, right?

And then, you will be able to go back and see all the different tacos and you can check like I say here.

Please make sure to check out the hot co-creators profile might you know, click in it and just make if you don't know who they are, you know?

I mean, so just fair warning.

All right.

Yeah, I think that's it.

Cool.

So let me stop the screen share.

I am going to get you all back to work because I want to get back to this thing.

I am in doing and yeah I think I have gotten well I still need to figure out what information I want to initially set up for the thing to display on the front end.

And then the front end is going to have like a form to send information back to the back end.

So I am kind of like, well let me start in the back in here, get the data.

It's like a display on the front end and then from the front end with data back to the back end.

So that's why I am going to work on and so hopefully whatever you're working on.

You will make some progress.

And yeah.

So again if you want to come up here, sign up for show and tell otherwise we will take a look at this thing.

I just purchased will talk about it but I think it's kind of cool.

Alright, so again thanks for hanging out.

See you 15 minutes after the hour?

And I am going to send you all off with some Music, and this is Anthony Cruz, AKA butter.

The track is called, thank you.

And I want to thank you all for hanging out.

All right, so I will see you in like 45 minutes.

All right, thanks again for hanging out, Anthony Cruz, AKA Buddha.

Thank you.

All right.

See you later.

Easy piece.

Much productivity.
