Welcome back.

Your dreams were your ticket.

Welcome back.

Same old place that you like well then since you but those dreams have remained, and they turn around Welcome back.

All right, give a stretch.

Okay, so this one let us break session.

I think it's going to just go by quickly.

So it probably is a quick one because honestly, I don't care.

We're going to talk about But I figured we spoke about it on the radio show yesterday and has to do with, like, Tech and stuff.

So, I was like, all right, this is model do is kind of talk about not because it is kind of amazing where we are right now.

And, so I wanted to just kind of like cement it in time because we live in an amazing times and so yeah.

So for let me assure my screen.

So folks, may not know I guess it's apparently happened like yesterday, right?

So.

I was doing the radio show, but it happened before.

So like I was on the way to the station, I guess that's when it happened.

And as our setting up, I was checking out Twitter and that's when I saw like opened and I saw like, what Twitter is Dead.

Goodbye Twitter, something like rate limit, exceeded, like all these hashtags were trending.

I was like, oh, what happened now?

And so, apparently Elon Musk put out a tweet.

You should probably stop doing because it doesn't go right for him.

And But my inner look like Elon Musk muscle hurting me because my internet is getting all janky again.

So it is what it is, whatever, I don't care.

And so I want to just get this rolling.

All right.

So Elon Musk put out a tweet to address extreme levels of data, scraping and system manipulation.

We have applied the following temporary limits.

And, so I guess when he's saying like data scraping, so I guess people because since he kind of like Turned off access to the API that, I guess, people are now scraping Twitter itself instead of using API.

So maybe they're bypassing it.

What have you?

And then maybe the system in, and maybe latian is, maybe like, We call them like Bots maybe haven't I have been noticing specially on the radio show account like a lot of bots have been following the account you know maybe it's because we post a bunch or what have you.

Well a lot of random Bots have been following the account and I just it seems like more now than previously neither here nor there again, I don't care, it's whatever.

So This is what they're doing.

They're following temporary limits and temporary who know how long temporary is, who knows?

Because yeah, so verified accounts are limited to reading six thousand posts per day.

And what does that mean by reading?

Because does that mean you, like how much time are you spending looking at a single tweet or is it that you click it?

So that it's the only tweet on the page.

Now I am saying like, is it just you scroll by a tweet does that count as a read as you're just scrolling by?

Or is it like you actually click the link like to view the Tweet itself or maybe even like respond or reply or whatever?

Again, no clue.

So that's kind of like up in the air.

Who knows what?

What reading six thousand posts a day mean so that's if you're verified.

So if you're paying money for the blue check, so you're paying like, I don't know what it is, like eight dollars um so you get 36.

A Thousand posts.

I am verified accounts to 600 posts a day, so I guess if you're not paying a dollar, so I guess I would fall under 600 posts a day and then new and verified accounts to $300, $300 three posts a day.

So I guess if you just sign up you can just check out three posts.

And I guess I saw some people saying that like I guess they were just like speedrunning it, and we're just Of like, you know, Doom scrolling, and they within like I think like five minutes, they reached like the 300 thing a day, so I don't know that exactly means, but they did raise it to something else.

I think it was like 8,000 for verified accounts 800, maybe for unverified accounts and then like 500 or something.

For new unverified again, I don't know.

Don't care.

But What is Wild is that he like replies to these things and then in yet another exercise in irony this post achieved a record view count.

So I guess a bunch of people wait.

It gets wasted they're like post that they could read on that.

I don't know.

Okay, then also, by the way, they put a link to this tweet so that you can check it out because when I first saw it, it was like a screen capture, and I was like, no I can't be real and I went to his page, indefinitely was real.

All right, so whatever.

All right.

And then also here, I also find it funny that he retweeted actually Elon Musk retweeted a parody A account which I thought he was trying to get rid of.

Now, that was the whole point of like the verification thing.

But okay, so he retweeted it.

The reason I set a quote unquote view limit is because we all are Twitter, addicts and need to go outside.

I am doing a good deed for the world here, also, that's another view you just use.

So yeah.

Yeah, so that's, that's where that's going.

That's where that is right now.

II don't get it.

I don't know.

So basically.

So I have seen people on Twitter when I agree on Twitter just in general talking about other places to go and things like other thing.

But the issue is that regardless of wherever you go, the same thing can happen is because you don't own the platform you're mean.

And so to build up your whole base on a platform for the kind of like be away from you is heartbreaking, yummy and so because a bunch of people who built up their whole things on Twitter, I like can't really go anywhere because everybody knows me on Twitter and I guess they want their view counts.

We're like they're following counsel would have you right?

Leg is a big deal for him and I don't know I can't because reason why I got on the web is to be able to have my own place on the internet.

You know I am saying like that is why I am on the internet and so that's why I always like to create my own projects and so for like example, came the flex since this video is probably all jacked up anyway, like my website, lifelong that death.

I mean this is a site where I put it on everything and so people can even like what I am doing presentations or what-have-you.

Like I put this instead of like my Twitter, I gotta put my Twitter but I will make sure to put my website on there because at least I own this.

You mean I paid money for this and at least for the domain name because the site is not like it's got a huge amount of traffic.

So I am under the free tier still, which is amazing.

And so it just holds everything that I need about it.

So, you know, I Do like a Blog.

Let me have the radio show, like I mentioned before portfolio pictures, which I need to update because I have done a bunch more projects.

Since then, I can talk about what events I am going to the shop where I make like t-shirts and things and like presentation.

So, when I get to go out and speak with folks, sometimes the recorded and I also need to update this because I have done a bunch of speaking since then that have been posted on the internet.

But yeah.

And then here, you see, I like my email and my Twitter.

And my Instagram or whatever, and then, link to another site that has like my traveling site.

But I always put my people to my website lifelong dot Dev because I own that.

I mean, and so II, don't know, I don't know what other people would do, because again, I am a big proponent of owning your own place.

I mean, it's cool to be on social media and doing all that stuff, right?

But For me, like, I always Point people to somewhere that I own, it can control.

So if anything ever happens to that platform, not a big deal because people know where to find you, you know?

I mean like especially if like the radio show I am always pumping the website because we're on the airwaves and it's cool, and we get to do a lot of cool stuff.

But I am always like, hey, you can check out the website if you want to listen to online.

Listen to past shows, what have you, what have you?

So because there're some months when there's a basket basketball, game basketball season happens for the college, thick for the college, and so they, some of them happen during our show.

So for like, almost like three months were preempted and, but we still do the Show online, and we still get people to tune in online to listen to the show.

And so like, I don't know I just again because If it's going to happen again because I think it still happened like the Twitter limit thing.

I think it's still happening.

So they said temporary who knows how long temporary is right.

And, so I am not trying to work on somebody else's timeline on being able to have my piece of the internet.

You know?

I mean and so again that's a good reason why I decided to be able to learn to create websites and things, and so and then from that hobby, this kind of turned it into Like a career which is pretty dope and yeah that's pretty much it.

So I don't know own your own stuff I guess.

Is the point of all of this?

Where is the mouse?

There you go.

Alright cool so let me get you all back to work.

I said it's probably it's a little bit shorter than normal but I get you all back to work because I am getting some stuff done and I want to finish it up.

So yeah, so again what do y'all plan on doing hope?

Really you're okay.

You're saying because a lot of people seem freaked out about this whole thing.

So hopefully you are doing fine.

It will be fine.

I am saying.

It's like the dog in the house is burning down.

Like this is fine.

That's the new normal now.

So yeah.

All right, get your back to work again.
