transcript

It means ticket.

I welcome back.

BMO since you, but those dreams, everything.

We got him on the spot, welcome back, welcome back brother.

Hey what's going on?

Welcome back to another well, they actually the second break session of the day so go ahead and just stretch it out just kind of just yeah just see I shaved.

So now quick, so I got that's often to-do list.

And so yeah.

So for this break session.

I figured why not talk about this event?

That's coming up, seems pretty dope.

And so, let me sort on I am like, oh, that's pretty cool.

So, let me go to share my screen right quick or you need a second here?

Yes, where are we at?

Here we go.

Not like I didn't make this thing or anything, right?

All right, here we go.

I don't think there's any audio, but I will show that just in case and so, This is Vite conf, right?

And we spoke about Vic before.

Let me copy and paste the link here.

So it will be with a list of Links when you, if you watch the recording of this video.

Alright.

So yeah.

V.

Conf brought to you by Stack Blitz, and we spoke mouse back in stock list before that's like the online IDE.

We can like write some code and you can like get starter packs or things pretty dope.

And so it's happening on October 11th to the 12th.

I am assuming it's virtual because I don't see like an actual physical place or anything and so making web development instant which is pretty dope.

I think you register now and get your free ticket to a first-of-its-kind.

Yes online.

And he pretty male you minister.

And then so a full day of launches.

So if you're the type of person who's like want to see what's coming from like new technologies, might be a good spot to check out and like it says it's a full day of launches learnings and celebrations from the Project's.

Reimagining, web development, pretty dope.

So again it's if you like the type of person who wants to kind of like see what's coming down the pipeline, it might be a good option to kind of check it out.

And so they haven't.

Mention any of the speaker's yet, but they won't have talks from.

So the actual people who make the feet.

So that's pretty dope.

And, so I am interested in seeing because I used felt so-and-so I haven't gotten to pocket yet because it's still kind of beta, but it'd be cool to see what they have to say.

So that's pretty cool.

Let me see.

Oh, and I haven't done any solid.

J, solid J stuff but be cool to see what's up with that.

I don't I am not I never had a solid start, so I gotta check that out.

And then next so from my view folks out there and then I mentioned stack blitz so that's cool and then Shopify with hydrogen stuff that they have.

Let us see or as well.

Yeah.

So there's a V troubie and laravel for a PHP they're using V2.

Of their whole process to which is pretty dope.

And then of course Astro I am a big fan of Astro and then the test is like the testing framework.

I guess that V you can use for viets and then Cyprus another testing and playwright.

Another testing framework we can wear like playwright.

It's kind of like selenium for like we're open up the browser, you can do all sorts of tests and things on it.

What from under?

And again, I don't know a lot but yeah, so that's pretty cool.

And then, if you want to get involved, you can follow them on Twitter.

I will show the Twitter page and then V JS.

D Dev is the actual Vita.

Site will take a look at that real quick and then contribute to the repo and read the Vite.

Docs cool.

Here's the Twitter.

So, you want to go ahead and follow along.

I will also put that in the list of links here.

Cool.

I let me see here.

And yeah, so just pretty much the same information.

Let us see.

Okay, so looks like so far more than 2,500 people registered for vikan and so, that's 20 hours ago.

So and so there was a thing.

Oh, and then you can like post your thing and then depending on, I think I saw then have like a.

So, these are some people Joshua Chan, tastic, I think yeah, I met him at render ATL super nice guy.

And then, Yeah okay.

Yeah Jess also shouts the Jess.

I think they do a lot of like view stuff.

Right?

Yeah view team member.

Yeah, we're so shots of them.

I don't think I have actually met them but The only I should have liked the numbers.

I think and works chose.

A lot of people are involved which is pretty dope.

And so on this person, number two thousand, very nice and those are things, I don't know.

Oh, shots of the Jason, so yeah, this person.

So when you select your badge, what have you like, depending on what you have in the corner changes, the color of like your badge, which is pretty cool.

And so, the stuff you can do on the Internet, it's kind of amazing.

And so like, so this person has like the Ducks logo and so.

Yeah.

But I mean, it looks pretty dope.

It's free.

If you want to kind of see what's happening with the web, I figured mention it, you know, I mean, and yeah, pretty dope.

And so just a lot of people who say they're going to beat cough 2022.

It felt very nice.

Then 0 and then cloudflare looks like their partner in it, so that's pretty dope.

Yeah, super cool.

Then it had Partners on here.

Did it mention Partners?

Oh, here we go.

Never mind.

I just go down.

Far enough brought to you by Stack Blitz and Community Partners notify and broker's pretty dope.

Watch live on the world speaker.

This coming soon.

Be dope.

And yeah.

So the site was made with made from the vikan team, cool.

Very cool.

What else?

Yeah, and so for even a familiar with Vite or what have you, I figured it'd take a look at the website and kind of check it out.

And it's now I personally have not set up a Vite project from scratch.

So a lot of different like Frameworks or libraries, I use will already kind of have that set up for you and so but have like your own like just vanilla JS and you have like modules and things that you call.

You can set the because what it does.

Like it says it's next Generation front and tooling and so some of the things that you get out of the box so you get instant server start, so we do like mpm Run, start, or whatever your server is.

This is like super quick, lightning, flash, lightning, lightning, flash, Lightning, Fast HMR.

So if you ever have like, Hot module reloading.

And so if you make a change, basically it will spin up like a show that chain super quickly.

And then like so then does that touch the support CSS bunch of stuff, and they will optimize your build?

So that's the whole thing.

Like it's like webpack parcel.

I was another one like roll up.

What I will do is while you're developing your project, it will do like the All the things that kind of like its spins up your project so that you can work on it and see the instant changes.

And then, when you're ready to build, it says that uses like a pre-configured roll up.

So it can do the stuff like during the development because it uses like the modules, get my and so that makes things a lot faster.

And so be to actually build for production to it says he's like a pre-configured roll up.

Build with multi page and Library mode support.

That's pretty dope.

And it has like plugins you can do there and fully tight, but again with the typescript stuff.

And so here are some of the people.

So sponsors, stacked with Shopify store, a block, and we got conference view, Jaya, you cough UJ, s dot d e and then some other sponsors.

Very nice div, right?

So the folks that we spoke about before web components dot div, so they look like they're sponsoring then.

Cool.

Separates two, Japanese logos, super small.

All right.

Repla Tailwind Labs Cyprus, who saw on the other one, on the actual conference.

So, yeah, it's pretty dope.

And then they also kind of talk about like, why Vite.

Now, I have heard them say it's with Vite.

That's, I guess it's Latin for Speed.

I think it was something like that.

But so yeah, so before es modules, like I was saying before our available in browsers developers had no native mechanism for authoring JavaScript in a modulized fashion.

So basically being able to kind of like everything is like one Big Blob.

Now we can kind of like split it up into different modules and pull what we need kind of thing before they had to be like all one big file.

This is why we are familiar with the concept of bundling using tools that crawl process and concatenate our source modules into files that can run in the browser.

Cool.

And then, so they mention like, yes, webpack roll-up parcel to do.

So to say, like, you know, because JavaScript more and more people using it.

So, it's gotten bigger and bigger.

And so, there's like a bottleneck performance bottleneck like to say here.

So, sometimes like when you work on a project, and I have seen this like a while, like, especially early, on before all this like, if you were like working on a project that you made a change, they don't have to go through and build and do all these things because like the Work.

Whatever had like other dependencies on other things and those had depends on things, and then they had to go through and put all together, combine them, and then make it so that you could actually use it within your project.

And yeah, it would take a while and so it was not fun times.

Like you'd actually like can you like get up walk around, get something to drink and come back and then maybe your thing was done.

This is like building for now.

It's a whole nother thing too, seriously talks about doing it.

Here and stuff.

So yeah and then so you can go ahead and read that stuff.

I think I put a link to this actual site that I no I did not so it's a VJ s dot Dev.

Let me come here.

Come here going to add this to the list as well.

Alright cool.

So yeah, so check it out.

If it's something that you find interesting especially if you're into, or they have like the server side rendering stuff, which I am a big fan of which is pretty cool too.

And but yeah, like I said, your favorite framework would have you may be using Veet because when that came in it, like kind of like change the game as far as speed so a lot of Frameworks have kind of used it.

Like I said, it's felt it felt kit uses it.

And, so I am I think they made like a whole like press release about it to or something like switching the V and this is why and but yeah so as pretty dope check it out.

I guess it's free.

And if you're free on October 11th and 12th I guess check it out.

I mean, so I will be there and looking forward to it.

And yeah, it looks cool.

I mean, and so, can I find a lot of times if you want to like understand something, cause you can read through the documentation and all that stuff and get a feel for it.

And you can like for me building with it like actually using it and then actually seeing how other people are using it.

Can kind of like helped me.

Understand like fully.

So if I am only looking at how I did it, I see my perspective, but then if I see someone else and how they do it and it's Different like, oh, you can use it as that as well as.

So it kind of like opens me up to seeing more ways of being able to use different Frameworks and stuff.

So it helps me understand, like, where exactly I need to use these things and so, and for what purposes and yeah, but pretty dope.

Vite conf again, October 11 through the 12 and, yeah, so that's it.

So, if you're going, let me know and yeah, all right, let me Get y'all back to work now.

So good.

Stuff.

Just everybody and szustak Blitzer, put it together and yeah, looking forward to it.

All right, let us see.

I think that's it.

Cool.

Let me go going to get back to some stuff.

Yeah.

Okay, so let us try my screen.

Cool.

I am gonna send you all off with some traveling music.

Remember, I would be back 15 minutes after the hour and if you want to do a show and tell feel free to come up, and we will have you quick lightning talk or what have you?

And I think that's it next break at there's no show and tell Will Take a look at our s website lists some music, watch the videos.

And yeah.

So again thanks for hanging out till next time.

I wish you much tivity and yeah.

Thanks again.

See you later.

The outro music is going to be Anthony.

Cruz.

AKA a butter.

The track is called.

Thank you.

Thanks again for hanging out y'all.

Okay?

See you later.
