transcript

Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket, welcome back, place the cheese, but those dreams everything, and they turn around.

It was going on, welcome back.

All right stretch.

So it's gonna be one of those days.

Oh, definitely did not want to get up this morning but, you know, As reason why I made these things is just kind of like not forced me to do it, but give me incentive to get up and get stuff done.

So welcome to until it dot works.

It's a thing I created.

By the way, my name is Duane and it's a thing.

I created to help me get things done.

So I am the type of person.

If I don't make time, I won't find time, and so I created until it died work.

Looks like I said to give me an incentive to get up.

Do like these quick livestream things?

And while I am here, I might as well work on some projects, right?

And until it, that works consists of sessions.

Well, ciphers actually ciphers are three-hour blocks of time.

Within each Cipher, we have sessions and there're two types of sessions there.

The work session, and a break session work.

Sessions are 45 minutes, heads down working on what you were.

Going on right?

And then 15 minutes after the hour, I come on here and initiate a break session and Briggs doesn't all the opportunity to get up stretch.

Walk around drink some water, do what you got to do?

But kind of let your mind wander a little bit, because you just spent so much time this focusing on what you're focusing on.

So give you mine and break.

And during these breaks, I talk about random stuff I find interesting on the internet.

Or you can come up here and talk about stuff you found interesting on the internet as well.

Now you could tell it to break session because I come up here with the video and just all in your face.

And so it kind of like stopping you from whatever that you're working on, right?

Then below the video you see that you may need to click play to start the video stream because if you ever jump in and on the site and when the middle of a break session browsers, don't allow for autoplay video with audio.

Audio.

So that's why I blow notice there.

So you may need to click play next to.

That is open closed caption button.

Right now, I am using the web speech recognition API.

That's built into Chrome browsers, to turn my speech into text.

Hopefully accurately, and it will show up in that space when you click open closed caption.

Blow that.

Then we have.

If there's ever anything during these break session that you found interesting, well, you can clip it out and create like a highlight clip, you get five highlight clips and their five seconds of peace.

Now if you can click the create a highlight video before, I stop the broadcast will happen, is it will store those timestamps, take the recorded video And then cut out the timestamps.

Merge them together.

Put an intro put out row and then you will be able to check it out.

I will show you where you can check that out.

Then there's a countdown timer countdown.

The wind work session will happen and then if you want to join the chat or what have you, you can join the chat and ask questions and chat.

All right, cool.

All right, yeah.

So now work session.

I have a whole presentation for that.

It will kind of look similar to this.

Loading.

All right.

So this is the work session.

Here is where the 45 minutes of just heads down, focus on what you're focusing on.

Hopefully this helps with that on the upper right-hand corner.

We have a menu, subscribe has a list of all the upcoming ciphers so you can subscribe to get notified when we go live.

Then we have a band camp player here.

Where if you want listen some music some really talented producer, friends that I know submitted some music for projects like this.

And it will like it's like a playlist of like bandcamp tracks and since of being a band camp player, you could purchase the song, you can share it.

So you can buy it, you can share it and then I added this tweet link.

So you want to help support and promote an artist's by spreading the word.

You click tweet and it will open up Twitter and a tab with an artist name and song title and link to their thing.

So help promote artists I am saying big fan of that.

All right.

Then we have the to do section here.

This is where you put versus a task, put in the task that you want to do hit Plus or the enter button, enter key and it will add it to the list.

Here, you can click the text edit it, you can click X to delete it and then you can mark it done by clicking.

The check box, that will send it to the done section.

So if you click the word done it will show all the things you got completed.

Cool.

And then when everything is finished, and we're about to get up out of here.

You can click the Twitter icon and open up Twitter and it will list out all the things you got done in a tweet that you can get and then send another countdown timer countdown to when the next break session happens and get those 15 minutes have the our view tutorial.

So I have links to free code camp and the Odin project.

So if you're like brand-new to coding and you like Hey we're canned I start, you know, I always want to kind of check this thing out.

I have links to those resources from what I have seen and from what I have heard and what I have Been Told If you go through them, you will have a good understanding of what it takes to do, like web development.

And from there, you can spend more time and more money in pursuing.

It may be turning into a career or what have you?

So there's that I also have links to tutorials that I am kind of in charge of at my work.

I am a JavaScript developer Advocate at bondage and part of that is kind of like maintaining tutorials and making sure they're cool.

Right?

So I have three tutorials there that I think are kind of awesome and one is you create an application form to the tutorial where you put in your phone number in the input box, hit call, and we will actually ring your real-world phone and you have a conversation back and forth and I have one where it's kind of like the opposite where you get a virtual number and from your real-world phone, you dial that virtual number and you can answer it in the application and you create, then there's a third one, we're like two users like login and to an application and one can call the other through the browser, you have a conversation.

I think that's kind of amazing stuff.

So there's that.

All right, then Taco stands for help a coder / Creator out.

I will talk about that soon because I have more slides about that show until sign up.

So again, if you ever want to come up here and talk about something that you found interesting on the internet, showing tell sign up or walk you through the process of making that happen.

Then that same highlight clip that you sent off to be made.

Under highlight, the status will say submitted, when it's being worked on and was ready to be viewed, it will say status done with a view button, you know, the Check It Out, preview.

The video, download the video, click the share it to Twitter.

Sometimes Twitter shows the preview video sometimes depending on the link, but I just been attaching it to the Tweet.

So that I know that the video shows up because I post to Instagram, also the video, so I have it downloaded anyway.

So mi do that now, Jaco again, Jaco are things that created again, they say for help a coder / Creator out, right and it's a type of thing.

If you ever need help with whatever that you're doing, you can create and Jaco which is like a room where people come together and hopefully help a person with what it is that they're looking to get Weatherby feedback or a solution to something.

So if you were to click view, it will show you all the different hot goes that have been created, right?

You can click the Creator's name, the open up Twitter or GitHub, depending on where they logged in with, to see if you want to join that room.

Umm, right.

And then you have a filter list here, you can filter by different keywords.

All right, cool.

Then if you click create, you're presented with a form.

Here you fill out the title, so, like, maybe like the question or the feedback thing that you want to get help on and the three keywords to help somebody find it, you click create.

And then you're presented with a unique URL.

You copied the URL or you click share the Twitter, or I am right here.

Now when you join your Jaco this is what it looks like.

You have the title to the top.

You can leave.

You can open the menu here.

It's a text chat.

Over here is a countdown timer countdown when the next break session happens.

And then you can copy the URL again, you can click the share to Twitter again.

Now, when someone clicks your link, they just don't hop into your room automatically.

They actually request to join your room, so they will show up under pending.

You can click their username to check out, either the Twitter or GitHub to see the type of person that you want to let into your room kind of, make sure, you know, everything's on the up-and-up.

Now, if you do approve them, and they turn out to be a terrible person, well, you can always ban them and kick them out the room, right?

Now you as the owner of the Jaco only, I have it set up to where only you can share your screen and the reason for that is that I believe that if other people can see what you're seeing and what you're running into will provide more context for them to be able to help you out, or give you the feedback that you're looking for, right?

Least that's what I am thinking and that's why I allowed it to be able to only use share your screen.

All right.

Then, like I said, we have a text chat, you put in your text here, hit send.

So there's like a little input box.

Its end, We will add it to the message list here.

I also added the ability to enable audio chat, so that way, anybody who has their audio chat enabled would be able to speak and hear each other, right?

But for people who don't have it enabled, they will still be able to follow along because the text well, the speech that By saying like I will be turning the text and put into the text chat so other people can follow along.

Then I have the opposite where it goes from text to speech.

So if you're not looking at your screen, you can still follow along with what's happening because anything that's put into the text messages list will be read out by your computer by your browser.

All right, I think that's pretty much it.

Then again, you can check out all the different tacos and that is it cool now.

Let me get you all back to work because I am still trying to get started because again is the late night and but I got a bunch of stuff done.

I decide project I am working on.

Actually I kind of had like a blocker last week but I figured it out.

I got it working like yesterday, so I am excited to get started and keep going on that.

So I want to get back to work and hopefully you do as well.

I am going to At y'all some traveling music on your way out.

This is new Jabez, featuring a Pawnee, be the track is called.

Thank you.

Thanks again for hanging out, I will see you 15 minutes after the hour till then I wish you much productivity and losing my voice, so that's always awesome.

And yeah, thanks again, bringing out this is new Jabez featuring a Pawnee be the track is called, thank you.

All right, see you 50 minutes after the hour?

All right, thanks again.

See you.

Bye.
