Welcome back, your dreams were your ticket, welcome back that same old place, well then since you hung around but those dreams everything, and they turned around Welcome back stretch.

Oh yeah.

Oh yeah.

Oh yeah.

Well good news is I finish all my post radio show promo stuff so that's good.

That's out there.

Now all the All scheduled, all the Social Media stuff posted.

Yeah, so that's done.

Cool.

Then I can work on some other stuff I have been meaning to work on now for the rest of these break sessions.

So for the work sessions, but this is a break session.

So hopefully you are getting up walking around, drinking some water stretching, do what you got to do, but I am going to talk about some news that came across on the goal, pretty dope.

So looking forward to checking out, let me share my screen here, so I figured miles.

We will talk about it.

All right, talk about the news here.

Cool, shirt audio, just in case.

So a few things.

So I like building random websites for example, like this website until it works.

If you notice is you go to the about section, it will say, oh hey, I build this thing with felt / sapper, right.

Another website I created was my slides page.

So my slides that page, so where I do a lot of, like, talks And I make an interactive and people can go and check out my slides page at my slides not page and take a look at the about section.

Oh, hey, look, again swelled in soccer.

Awesome, then another one.

So also I do workshops and so my workshops are also interactive and so if you want to check out my workshops live, it's at my workshops that live or if it's not live, it's where my workshops dot live.

Get it because English is weird.

But yeah, so there's that as well cool.

And then a bunch of other sites, even like I just thought about it remember otech.

Got events is another website I created and if you go to the about there, Again it will say svelte and it's an also so you can tell I am a big fan of spelt and I have been rocking with spelt since like version.

Well I knew about spell for a minute right?

But for Frameworks I like to wait till like the third version to kind of make sure that there's going to stick around right, and so I knew about felt and smelt 3 came out.

I was like oh okay I like the way this is looking at the waist up.

Coming together and since then, I was just like, I have been building a bunch of different random product, even with like Astro.

So a site I created recently that had Astro, and I am thinking I just created.

Oh, so for example, another one, I get to travel a lot and part of that or even like so my travel site, Where I go and kind of like post pictures of my travels.

I think that one is also yeah.

So Astro for the framework right also build like the interactive Parts with spelt and that's kind of like my go-to right now is like building out an Astro and then for any interactive stuff I use felt all right so all that to say is that I am a big fan of spelt and any chance I get to build something and there's some interactive parts to it I am going to use felt right?

Right.

So, you know, I will post a link to all these different projects later but right now let me do it now because I will forget later.

So I got time Add this link here so that's why unpeeled got works on site were on right now.

My slides Dot Page, come on.

All right, we also got my workshops live.

And let us see.

Oh yeah actually this one was also thought I did.

Yeah.

So again you see spelt there and I guess I didn't know I have never used a sapper for that.

We will talk about that too, and then we also have otech dot events.

And then again my whole screen just went black.

That is amazing.

I am not sure what has happened but it looks like I am still running.

I think so, yeah, looks like it.

Just that this player stopped working for some reason.

I am not sure what is happening.

That is weird.

Huh, is literally always something in it.

They see what's going on here.

Huh.

Okay, well, let me refresh this page because I am hoping I am still streaming.

Okay, looks like it.

Yeah, that was weird.

Like my all my screen just went black for a minute.

Not sure what happened there?

The joys of why streaming right.

Okay where was I?

And this link here, okay?

Yeah, you're doing stuff that I am cool.

Looks like I am still broadcasting.

Sounds good.

All right.

Cool.

So all that to say that the big news is that spelt for came out.

Where's the blog post here?

Look at that mug books so spelt for came out We will take a look at the blog post.

When add the link to that as well so you can check that out.

Why does realize all my clips from before are gone?

That's my so announcing spelt for so updated performance developer experience and site great.

Like I was saying before I was always, I knew about spelt for a minute, right?

And like I was saying before I like to wait for Frameworks to see at least until the third version before I really start trying to play around with it because then, You gotta know they have like skin in the game, and they want to kind of like actually longevity in the project.

And so svelte, 3 came out and like I showed a bunch of these projects before.

Like I have been building a bunch of stuff with spelt like the site that were on right now until it works.

Like my prom like my page that I used to create my talks for my the slides.

So What is wrong with it?

I always say, I am gonna get a mouse and I, you know, I have a mouse.

Okay, something.

Okay.

So it's true.

When I give talks, I have a slides page, then there's also I give workshops.

I also I have used felt for that as well.

And then even my site, I created to watch like otech, Orlando Tech talks that's using spilt.

And let us see here.

And then also my the side I created for like, my travels.

I also use felt for that so you can tell I am a big fan of spelt for me.

These makes sense when I am creating stuff, so I always kind of like go to that when I want to add any sort of interactivity, right?

So that being said, it's felt for is out and I want to kind of take a look and see what's new with it.

So, After months in the making, we're excited to announce.

The stable releases felt for Time flies felt 3 was released more than four years ago.

That's kind of amazing.

Because time goes by so quickly.

So, wow, shouts to the team there.

So in JavaScript framework time, that's eons spell.

Its freshness has persisted throughout but nodejs and browser apis, have evolved during that time and today we're updating spell to take advantage of some of these improvements.

And again, that's pretty dope.

That they say that they mentioned.

The web is always getting better, right?

And So the Technologies are coming together, swear a lot of stuff is being now handled through the browser so Frameworks can do less and less kind of thing.

You know I am saying so kind of like with jQuery had to do a lot but a lot of those things are now in the browsers and so that's pretty cool to wear it can just kind of like started kind of take some of that the load off of these different Frameworks to wear handled natively in the browser.

Sir, which is pretty cool.

So, svelte for is mainly a maintenance release bumping, minimum versions, requirements and tightening up the design and specific areas.

It sets, the stage for the next generation of spell to be released as felt five, all right.

And we think you will love it.

Very nice.

So if you haven't tried yet, take it for a spin in our interactive tutorial which I think wait time I talked about spelt before.

I am always like I really enjoy their tutorial like it's really cool.

The way they put that together.

Big fan that and then I stack.

Let us cool.

So way home, you open that in a new window, spell kit, dot new.

Okay, let us see what we got there or locally with npm creates felt at latest.

All right, it's about lets you easily put together.

Web UI is leveraging, the power of HTML CSS JavaScript and the spell compiler, which is another cool thing because you really don't need likes.

Felt like once you create your application.

There's a compiler.

Which kind of like removes a bunch of this stuff that you Would need spell out for you?

I mean, like, it makes it where you don't need it anymore, which is pretty dope.

So, watched felt radio live to learn more about this release.

Very nice.

So they have a link to like a YouTube video.

And then also okay what's new?

So that's a performance, this released results in smaller and faster.

Hydration code to see the impacts felt kit users can see the compiled output shrink in size by examining the foal nodes folder.

Okay.

Cool.

For example on that's felt that Deb their website.

The JS generated across the whole site was reduced in size by 12.7%.

So Went from like 100 26.3, KB 110 Point 2, kilobytes for the whole site is pretty good, so it's felt for reduces the felt package size by nearly 75%.

Wow.

So from ten point, six megabytes down to two point eight, which means less waiting on npm install.

Very nice.

This Improvement will be, especially noticeable for users who are loading our Interactive Learning Experience on learn dots.

Felt death, for the first time users of the Us felt repple and users with limited connectivity.

Oh, you will notice that it will be faster if you have for using this spell triple or the, if you have limited connectivity because it's less to download makes sense.

The majority of the remaining package sizes, ESL in support, which necessitates Distributing a CJs bunt build, okay.

And once the eslint rewrite is completed, this felt package size can drop by over another 50%.

Wow, okay, so it's gonna be like a megabyte that's pretty dope.

And then, so the number of dependencies in spelt has greatly reduced from 61 to 16.

All right, this means faster downloads for our users, as well as less to subsist accessibility, accessibility whatever to supply chain attack.

So that means less stuff that they have to rely on.

The less chance they will be like victim to a supply chain that because it's fewer things to attack.

We also slightly reduce the number of dependencies in the latest version of swell kid as well.

Cool.

Cool.

So they're talking about developer experience which is important.

That's cool.

See they have that.

So local is Now the default for transitions to avoid animations blocking patient.

Okay I have done a little bit of page transition stuff so that's pretty cool.

Processes are not easier to write and multiple fixes made CSP easier to set up and use.

All right, oh, here we go.

For users of web components.

The largest change is an overhaul on the way.

You use felt to author custom elements so you can use felt to do web components.

And so, by changing the way, they're generated a whole class of bugs and inconsistencies were eliminated at school, too.

Okay, so finally, we have also made several improvements to the IDE authoring experience.

Command click and svelte modules.

Now takes you to the implementation rather than a dot d TS file Imports, okay?

All right, very cool.

And then update the site where to take a look at the Docks and tutorials.

Cool.

And then, migrating most apps and libraries are compatible with spell 3 should be compatible.

So, for like Library, authors need to update the version range to include support for, okay?

Okay.

So yeah, if your, if your library is using spelt, you can make sure to update your versioning.

All right, cool and then felt five they're saying I will be a rewrite okay of this felt compiler and runtime so like a whole brand-new thing.

So for was mainly about setting the ground for these future improvements by adopting modern tooling and dropping support for some Legacy versions of various Technologies such as older bundlers.

All right, okay, Cool.

So spell that will be will bring major new features and performance improvements has felt the changes are still baking and not quite ready to share yet but stay tuned.

Okay, that's pretty dope and show us everybody.

That's worked on it.

That's super dope.

So all right Chelsea everybody.

So let us take a look at the new website, but let me take a look at this felt kit dot new.

Okay, I see this before.

All right, very nice.

So this is like, this felt Kit.

Hello World.

Cool.

Alright.

Let us see the package real quick package, Json.

And it's felt yep.

4.0 very nice spell check wonder what that is.

All right.

So that's cool.

Very nice and they have this leave, all right?

And then here's the video.

Hello, everyone.

We talk about this is a three days ago, all right?

Very nice.

So you can check that out as well.

Which I took that out later?

Let us see, so let us take a look at the website.

So it's felt that Dave always been big fan.

Like, I always liked it and saying, like it's just clean and like large text, you know, me like you just take some space, which is cool.

You mean like, I like that.

All right, cool.

Again, one of the cool things I always liked the tutorial, and they have that they're nice and like, they want you to check out the tutorial.

It is using web containers API from sakowitz and so it's all running within your browser which is pretty dope.

And so it's starting the dev server and always big fan of like I will come back here every once in a while to kind of check out stuff.

It's kind of see how things are working.

I mean, and so.

Yeah, all right cool.

Let us see.

Oh and then here's the kit dots, felt dot div.

And so this is kind of like the metal framework.

I guess they call it Force felt like I said, I have been using a stroke because I was using sapper for a while.

Like I saw I was talking about earlier, so I was using sapper for a bunch of stuff, and they switched his felt kit.

So I haven't really made the changes felt kit yet because I found Astro in between and so asteroid been doing a lot of cool stuff.

That I like which was I was using for sapper and so.

Yeah.

So right now and that what I like about Astros a can use like react if I need to have this like a library that or something I need or like what's felt and then view or whatever so it gives me a little bit more room but if I am going to build a site like this, strictly felt I am going to check out so kids.

So and again, I like the sun like, just like Nice, big text and it's just very nice.

I like it.

So they have all these different.

You can like, hook them up to these different servers like providers and stuff.

Like the deploy in everything.

That's pretty cool, and handsome shall showcase stuff here.

And so yeah, so shouts of them super dope.

I am going to get you all back to work because I gotta get back to work.

And so when I stop sharing my screen here, that was super weird that my whole everything.

Both screens went black and then came back, but does it look like it?

Drop the stream or anything?

So that's good.

Let us see.

Cool.

So get your back to work.

My send you all off with some traveling music.

Be back 15 minutes after our take a look at artists website.

And but till then, I wish you much productivity and the outro track for this work.

This break session into the work session is going to be Anthony Cruz.

AKA butter, the track is called.

Thank you.

Thanks again for hanging out, and we should much prefer to be.

All right, y'all be easy?

Thanks again.

See you around.

Here we go.
