Welcome back your dreams, same old place.

Hey, what's going on, y'all?

Welcome back.

All right, so give me a stretch.

Okay, good.

Just Try to figure out this random thing.

I don't know if it's a bug or maybe that's just the way it is.

I don't know, but it was working.

I try to change something and now it's not scrolling all the way.

It's like stopping in the center now, which is weird.

Maybe if I sent her the stuff and maybe, maybe it's looking, maybe that's what it is.

Maybe it's looking for that element just to be in the center if I Center it within its container.

The full thing was scroll through.

Okay, I will try that.

All right, but for right now for this brick I will do that in the work session but for right now, I wanted to kind of talk about the Like the lead up to me, making this purchase right because I still need to justify it to myself and so yeah.

So that's what I am going to do right now.

I am going to justify this purchase, so I am going to show the lead up to it and hopefully it will at least in my mind justify the purchase.

All right.

So Let me, let me get this ready here and I will add links to everything and stuff to the site.

So for a very long time, screenshot, here you go.

I have been into going to show audio also just in case I have been into like virtual reality and like augmented reality for a while, right?

Even to the point where I am into like 360 videos I have a bunch of 360 cameras, right?

And because I want to be able to like go back and it's kind of like remember things and even like looking at different angles.

On stuff, right?

And so I like I went to Japan recently.

And, so I actually created that why I recorded I went to the Gundam Factory in Yokohama, and I was like when is the next time I am going to be in Japan when this thing is here because I think they're going to stop having it in March of 2023, and I was like well I don't know what's going to happen, and so I was like I had to make it out there.

And try to capture as much as I can.

And so I did a bunch of 360 videos.

I even did the have 360 videos from the side here.

I bought the ticket to go be able to go up there.

And, so I am going to play a little bit of it and just kind of like look around.

So I want to be able to like look back and be like, oh yeah that was cool.

And maybe look to the side my God even noticed that or something, you know, I mean and so it's kind of quick thing about take a look at its real quick.

I don't think I am able to like look around.

See how the weather was look down on saying.

See me holding a thing there.

It's kind of amazing.

My Internet besides all the crap out on me.

Come on.

Well, I guess why bandwidth is in the greatest but there you know.

So you get the idea, so I am able to kind of go back.

All right, great.

If I ever want to relive my Gundam, my experience.

Cool.

So not only like 360 videos of things.

I am a big fan of web components.

Have you ever been to any of my talks or any of my workshops, you know, this?

And so one of the coolest web components I have ever come across was model, hyphen Bureau, by the way, let me add the links if you want to watch the video let me add a link to it.

So next to the video so you can check it out.

But again, one of the coolest ones I have ever seen was this model that the model Dash viewers.

Morning, and we went to this as well.

All right.

And so with this one, just by placing this element on your page and like a source to the actual file is the same thing as if you were to do like video, you know, you put like the video tag or even an image tag and the source and you have it.

But you actually have a 3D model that you can do without having to know anything about 3D modeling.

It does it for you.

One of the coolest things I have seen in a minute, you know, especially like I said, being into like virtual reality augmented reality.

You can even put this in the real world.

I had to can't do it here because it's just a browser, but if you're like on a like an Android phone, I think in Chrome, you can actually do that.

And with that, I was like, oh, we're to be cool is what if I could create something using that?

And, so I made this WebEx are tic-tac-toe game, right?

And so you can kind of see here.

So, using the same model viewer, I am playing here on my tablet.

And I have, I am from, I am filming through my camera, my on my phone and the thing is an augmented reality and able to play back and forth, a game of Tic-tac-toe and there's voice chat as well, right?

So that way you can Speak with the person you're playing against.

And, so I bought a whole domain for this x 0x r dot games because I want to build more games, right?

And So eventually, I mean, put the link into the thing here.

So eventually I want to like see how far I can take model viewer, but then also like create my own outside of model viewer, your mean so this is like a good stepping stone to prove the my concept, right?

So, I have always known about things like a frame, which is also in its own.

Right is like web components because like the building blocks are like custom elements and so forth, they even have like a web VR section.

Right.

I think they have an augmented one.

Also, I think maybe, I think I saw but there's like this 360 video, right?

And, so I don't know what's happening.

It was playing Okay, I think my computer is not liking all of this, but then that have like the hollow World, which is this here, which is pretty cool and give you the source.

Hopefully, I will.

Okay, take a second.

I didn't know that it was going to.

Take a second to load.

Oh okay, then maybe not.

All right, but like from what I saw before there's no inspector But like all the different parts of it.

So yeah, you can see here.

Like so there's like the seen a hyphen, seen a hyphen box creates the Box, a high of a cylinder creates a cylinder.

So all that is kind of already there for you.

Super cool stuff, right?

So I was looking at that, my gosh that's also cool.

So maybe I will start diving more into that, and then they have like even like a lower level because I believe a frame and model viewer uses.

I think my internet slow down.

Okay, and model viewer also use this thing 3 JS.

We just kind of like the lower level of trying to build all this stuff out, and they have all these kind of cool demos and things here.

So I was looking.

So I am going to get more into this as well because they have like documentation and examples even have an editor, where you can, oh, I didn't put this in.

They put this ad this here, so You notice like the hello world for like WebEx are seems to be like shapes like cubes and spheres, and like pyramids, and cylinders and things.

So let me add link to this one as well.

I didn't add it yet.

No, I did it.

All right.

Oh, I didn't even add a frame.

Let me add a friend.

As well.

Could I know I am not gonna remember to do this later, so I am going to do it now.

All right, so I am looking to dive deeper into.

So this has this whole thing where you can, I guess kind of create, so you create it in code and then you're able to what some call, it can create an encode I get and then preview it here.

I think again, I am not too familiar with all this stuff yet and so these are things I am looking to get into and All they can export so then I could probably export this and put it into model viewer.

If need be or exported to something else.

So, yeah, so that's a bunch of stuff like they're all right, cool.

And then I have also heard about Babylon Jas, Wait, let me go to actual website.

I was looking at the Docks earlier.

We add this to the site.

Alrighty, and that cool.

And so you can see you can build some pretty cool experiences with it.

And, so I am going to be going through this as well.

And I saw that they had this whole But it's tough here stuff that again I have no clue about any of this, so I am going to be diving into it like heads first.

So there's a GUI editor so you can I guess do it by sight.

It looks like there's my like look at it.

So there're like widgets and controls and stuff.

Cool.

And then here the WebEx are so my focus like now, like just like I was focusing on web components.

I really want to start diving into WebEx our stuff, right?

And so it.

So this has all these different things like so you like hands you be able to see the hands and things so that's awesome.

What else?

And then I came across this, she will say DeRose cannon on Twitter.

Put me on to immersive web dot Dev.

And that here.

And this is a place that has all sorts of like information on WebEx are and so the WebEx our device API and all these things.

And so what does it mean?

You can try out some demos, you know.

So there's also like code samples as well.

So you want to check out something, how you can do an A-frame Babylon JS is here.

Model viewers hear some stuff.

I think this is p5.js.

So I guess they have an ex are A thing also yet p5.js play canvas.

I don't think I have heard of react.

I have done a little bit of a thing to react before and so you can see like the stuff that we react handle is based on 3 JS.

So 3 JS is probably a good things like a lower level thing.

So I might work my way down, you know, doing other stuff as you try to get, you know, a little bit more familiar with the stuff happening.

And so, yes and there's three J's skin here.

So you can see it's a little bit more verbose.

Then something like model, viewer.

He's on saying and so then there's Unity is another one where I whoo I don't know.

I am a I will have to work my way up to that one I don't know that one's going to be I don't know.

I am had to take might take a couple of courses on there and then I guess there's a bird's 3D which I haven't heard before but look like a new blender stuff.

All right and then there's Wonderland engine.

Oh wow.

So yeah, so that's a bunch of stuff that I am going to.

So when I have this plan right and then there's also they also have these demos and things here.

You can also check out some samples.

Some add this as well.

Now it's not like I haven't like mess around with like VR before, and so I actually have this does't know if you can see it.

Let me stop the screen share real quick.

And, so I actually have a Daydream VR headset from Google and so it's kind of nice actually won this.

I think it was a think.

It might have been a Google developer, a meet-up, I think.

And so I actually bought one of these.

I am not, but I got it.

And so the way it works you put the phone in there, right?

And then with, with if the phone is Daydream, Compatible then you can kind of like look around thing.

So I will be able to load the video and look around and stuff.

So There's that cool right now.

Let me share my screen again.

So I have been hearing about stuff even and it's funny like I was in New York a couple of weeks ago giving a talk, and I was talking about like the model viewer and how it's super cool.

And how many to like augmented reality and stuff?

And so somebody actually came up to me afterwards and was like yo that they're real excited they're into WebEx.

Our VR and augmented reality stuff as well, and they have an Oculus, and I was like, oh I have been looking to get into an Oculus or something, you know I am saying?

And they said, well, if you're looking to do like augmented reality, you should probably wait because there's going to be a new version coming out in a couple of weeks or whatever or our.

Yeah.

Things like a couple of weeks it was like a few weeks ago, and so I was like, all right cool.

I will check it out or what have you, you know, keep my ear to the Actual streets.

And so it just so happened.

I was doing something.

And I think, what was I on was that on Twitter or like YouTube or something and it showed that there was like an Oculus meta presentation happening.

And, so I went there and I just watch it And they were announcing actual.

The thing that the person was telling me about which was the meta quests Pro and yeah.

And so, what I really like about it is that it has color pass through.

So there's a camera that's pointing I think is a few cameras.

And so, I think what's happening is that the videos actually like black-and-white, I guess.

So that speeds it up and it applies like a color filter over it or Again, I don't know how this stuff works, but it looks pretty cool.

And, so I was just kind of going through and I bought it.

And, so I am hoping with because like I said, the previous my daytime, even had a cardboard even before the Daydream, right?

And so it's again, you slip the phone in the front and then you're able to experiencing.

But you couldn't do augmented reality because the phone was in the way you I am saying.

And I don't, I don't know if there would be a way to turn on the camera on the phone.

To be able to do it.

I am not sure.

But this with this it comes with it augmented reality and so you can see like this person.

Well hello.

Oh wait, wait, go back here, let me so learn more.

So, Here we go.

So this is it.

I pre-ordered it.

Yes.

And yeah.

So you see the price and that's why I am doing this now to justify it to myself.

So, So, one headset, so many possibilities and then and so this is the stuff I am looking at like look at that.

You're able to look at things in the real world and manipulate it.

And so that is what I am looking to kind of play around with collaborate together, a mixed reality.

And, so I am just going to start off with that same tic-tac-toe game, just seeing even if I can just go into the browser, and I am able to Like play the game and have a voice chat with somebody.

I just want to see like, how much work I need to do to just get up and running, right?

So, I am hoping that the tic-tac-toe game just works and so that'd be a cool way to start so you can see like, look at this.

Like you're there and you're able to just in augmented reality like add layers on top of what's actually there.

And then they have this thing where you can actually like right like a little pen tip or what have you and then you're able to be put in the bottom of the one of the controllers and you can use it as like a marker or a pen or something.

And so yeah.

So like right here.

See imagine like your whole workstation is just a virtual thing and so like you can have multiple screens wherever you go without having to carry like a bunch of monitors, right?

And so you're able to kind of work on things.

And so those are the controllers and stuff like that and now what is really getting me?

Kind of hyped.

I even bought the case as well.

So I plan on carrying around like when I travel, so I can like mess around with things.

Because again I was kind of like want to learn as much as I can you know on my free time.

And so yeah.

So there's all that right?

And what really kind of got me hype was that I was doing more digging and I saw that there's actual like developer documentation Mentation on getting started with the built-in Oculus browser and WebEx are so it looks like I am hoping that the game.

I made the tic-tac-toe WebEx our game will just work out of the box.

And so they're kind of talking about bunch of stuff they have here.

You can even submit.

So I may even submit it to their to maybe show up on the homepage or something if they think it's cool enough or whatever.

And, so I want to build more games and things.

And kind of just showed off like the power of it, right?

And then include these things in like my talks and workshops and things of that nature.

So, yeah.

So there's that and then there's another one here, just talking about like what you can do and best practices and performance optimizations and all that stuff.

So we put a link to that as well there.

And so, it looks like It's a thing on Oculus.

And so with the meta Quest Pro, I am hoping that is what it is, you know, that everything is going to just work.

And I will be able to have something where I can test it, because previously is just been like, through my phone like doing it, but not actually having like being able to use my hands or controllers or something with it.

And so being able to kind of like do Both like having the phone and having the headset, I think hopefully I will be able to Bridge and create some cool experiences and like, you know, be able to relive like those 360 videos and all these things.

So, yeah.

So it's supposed to be coming in like a week or something or two, they said it's supposed to either ship or arrive.

So, if I click pre-order, what does it say?

Yeah.

So estimated delivery Tuesday, October 25th.

So, I ordered it like a few days ago, like, Wednesday, Thursday, I think.

So hopefully it will come next week, basically, and so yeah.

So from then, from now to then I was, we're going to look at more documentation, and we do some more stuff and try to build some more things and play with some examples.

We threw some documentation, watch some videos and kind of just, you know, but for like next year, that is where I kind of want to start jumping into and so all that to say I spent a bunch of money, buying something, and so I think by just this little talk, I have like talked myself into it, not being too horrible of an idea, so there's that.

So this was for me more than anything else.

So that is the plan.

An I am hoping to be able to do some cool stuff.

So maybe not this week but at some point I am gonna come up here, talk about it and see how it was.

All right, so yeah, I am feeling much better about my purchase and so going to get out of here, I got some work to do and send you all off with some traveling music and this right here.

So screenshare is a track by new Jabez, we speak on Japan.

I actually got to go and buy physical copies of new Jabez projects and so, that's pretty cool.

And see in Tower Records, they have like a whole section dedicated to new Jabez, all right P.

New job is and it may I did a 360 video of that as well, you know?

I mean, like, just, I want to be able to kind of, like, remember these experiences and just relive them and do it in, like, virtual reality and, you know, Look at things in augmented reality.

Yeah.

Okay.

I am yeah, I am getting all nerdy again.

So gonna be out of here again, thanks for hanging out.

This is nujabes featuring upon me.

Be the track is called.

Thank you.

All right, see you around?

Yeah, last break session.

What we will do is take a look at artists website unless somebody wants to sign up for show and tell and yeah, I am getting on back to work.

Thanks again for hanging out.

I wish you much productivity, y'all be easy and peace.
