Take it out, welcome back that same old place that you will the new but those dreams have remained, and they turn around.

Welcome back.

Hey, what's going on?

Welcome Back.

Another edition of until it that works.

Second break session.

Stretch it out.

Yeah, I hope you're being productive and getting things done on your to-do list.

All right, cause that's what would these things are here for.

All right, so this one's me pretty quick.

I kind of want to talk about some news that was released a few days ago.

And so it concerns me because like I said before, I am a job.

Good developer Advocate at Vantage, right?

And so let me share my screen here.

Give me a second.

The more room, I don't think of any audio but just in case.

Oh yeah, I do need audio.

So sorry, share my screen here, and so I kind of wanted to go over the announcement and why I am pretty excited about it.

You know, I am looking forward to seeing what comes with it, so share that.

So late last year Erickson announced that it was going to acquire Vonage for like six point two billion dollars, right?

And so going through all like the crossing the t's and dotting the eyes and all these things, all the regulations stuff, right?

And so just Friday, they announced past Friday announced that hey, with?

No, wait.

Two weeks ago when was it as of July 21st.

So, yeah.

Oh, what happened was on so, okay, so the 21st that was like, Thursday last week, right?

Yeah.

Some like that, or Wednesday somewhere but the previous Friday, they announced that everything was good to go and then that they got the, an okay, to go ahead and go through with acquisition, right?

And then it was I think Wednesday like, oh, everything is good to go.

Well, no, it's like it's complete now.

So then, yeah.

So then So, I figured why not talk about it because it just happened, basically, right?

And so agency, as of July 21st, 20, 20, 20, I am going to put a link to this, by the way, this is the official press release from Erickson and Erickson is like a like over 100 year old company.

I didn't even realize it was around that long and some people may be familiar because for a time they're actually at making like phones like cell phones and things but now, they have kind of like, well there, I think it always done it again, like, I am not familiar with it, so I guess I will be more familiar now that the part of the company, but they have gotten more into like setting up the networks, like 5G networks and things.

So they have been doing a lot of like big Enterprise stuff.

So not too many like consumer-facing things.

And so let me say the link, so I just added a link to it so you be able to check out the press release for yourself and so it's With volunteering board Erickson will create a market for easy to adapt, Global Network application program interfaces, apis.

This will drive the next wave of digitalization.

Erickson will generate near-term.

Synergies from bringing Bond and unified Communications as a service.

You Cass and contact center as a service cks solutions, to its existing customers.

So if stuff that we have been doing Advantage, like I said they have been working with like a lot of large companies, and so we were able to offer The stuff we have been making to them as like one big package so that should be pretty cool and that's pretty much it.

So then whole lot of stuff about like what they do.

So let us see.

I think there's something about So yeah, so you see they're doing Advanced 5G Network capabilities that we have easy access.

So that's pretty cool.

Is that so bondage has more than 1 million registered developers, and so we be able to give them access to like 4G and 5G Network stuff and so that's pretty exciting.

I am looking forward to that and I will say why soon I got like a video I want to show and normally they say like about the company, You can read more about it but this one, like because it I think there's like over a hundred thousand.

People that were Erickson amazing I think bondage has like a thousand.

I think somebody that hit me in like maybe like the tens of thousands maybe but 100,000, that's wow.

Okay, guess not those But yeah, Erikson's been around for a while and so, looking forward to checking it out, what's going on there?

And maybe taking a trip to Sweden.

Let me know.

That'd be cool.

But okay.

So like I said, I am hoping to get more into like iot devices and being able to bring like the web to wherever People are kind of thing, you know I am saying.

So like with 5G and 4G you can greatly like reach more people and stuff with certain devices.

So I am looking forward to that.

Let us see.

Yeah.

Okay, so the reason why I make psychos, when I first heard about, like the acquisition late last year, I was kind of looking around to see kind of what kind of stuff Erickson was into.

I came across this thing, this YouTube video where they have the it's called the Erickson, digital human SDK, right?

And, so I kind of want to play the video and show and kind of talk about why I am excited about it.

And, so I am going to post a link to this as well so you can check it out with next to the recorded video.

All right, I have the sound right.

Yes.

Okay so this is I think is going to be pretty cool, and I am really hoping I get my hands on this.

All right, so I will talk about why there's check this video out.

Where's my here you go?

Okay, so real quick.

So you saw what happened there like they put on the glasses, right?

And you can see like you can see through them so it's not like a visor where you can't see through it, you know, I mean like it you see through it, right?

So the person walks up into the concert hall, right?

And then they put on some glasses.

And then they press a button that starts this experience on there, like mobile device.

It looks like a phone, right?

Cool.

And it brings in all these other people into the concert hall playing instruments like right in front of the person.

So I am assuming this is like Kellogg with a person with the glasses.

Would see you see there like a like avatar of the people, the actual people do not like video like of the people or what have you, you know?

I mean, but it's like their Avatar kind of.

So that's pretty cool.

So then you see the person.

Also, wearing glasses playing the cello So I wonder what they see as well?

Somebody okay, here we go.

And this really cool to see side put on the glasses and it became like an avatar and some sort of game looking thing.

And this is cool, like, for like, it's just like, a our stuff, right?

Like, we're like this person who you can see that Avatar as well.

So this person is probably somewhere in there.

Like office or what have you, you know, I mean and Or they might even have the glasses on the computer, who I guess is their home, have the glasses on, and then they can see, like, how furniture and things are going to.

Are they going to fit?

That's pretty dope.

And so the thing is like, it couldn't see the person's running through the house, so it's not like you're Tethered to anything, you know?

I mean so this is running on notice.

So it's not like we're going to your house.

You have to be able to see so you don't like bump into a wall, right?

And so yeah, this is pretty cool.

So yeah.

So yeah, so that is a kind of cool.

And so why I am hyped about it, because I have really been into like WebEx are so like cross reality augmented reality stuff, and so I have just been a fan of like I have been done like little I think I have shown here before but let me show it again.

So I created this site because that's what I do.

But x 0x r dot gangs And I created a like WebEx our tic-tac-toe game where you can play Tic-Tac-Toe on separate devices and you can actually see the board, a tic-tac-toe board in like the real world through your device and so, and you can play games like for and I added, so you can speak with each other.

So now I am thinking would like the glasses like that you could do as well, which is cool, but I am thinking like if you're in a new town or something and you want, Being around kind of like want to see.

Even if it's like in a different language like Signs, you be able to through the glasses, see in your own language, the text on the thing, and not only see the text, but maybe you can pull it up like it's a restaurant like a menu of what they have, you know?

I mean, and then also, Like, if it's like, if there's a plate or something, you could check kind of sale, they're having so being able to bring action from the like live information to you in the context of what you're seeing your, I mean, and so that is if I can ever get my hands on that.

That's what I want to work on because that seems pretty cool.

And then being able to speak with somebody like, oh, hey, what do you think of this?

You can look at it and then they can.

Send the well and they can decide Even book.

It is unlike movies or whatever.

Like a movie theater, like be able to book a ticket or a seat at a restaurant and just all through the device and through the internet.

I think that's pretty dope.

You know I am saying.

And so Yeah, yeah.

So that's just kind of what I am thinking and I think that'd be cool.

So yeah, there's that.

Yeah, I am gonna get you all back to work but yeah.

So I am really excited about that.

Stop sharing the screen.

You know, what do y'all think?

Let me know in the don't even have comments on the site I guess it me up on Twitter or whatever.

I am saying try to add comments to that on that seemed like only thing I don't maybe.

But yeah, so that's it.

Is it raining out and get you all back to work?

I am actually getting some laundry done and stuff right now and I want to get started with that project.

I said I wanted to work on.

So yeah.

So we will see how that goes.

Maybe I have something to show later.

All right again, thanks for hanging out.
